What If?

What if we could create the life we imagined? Every person fulfilling their perfect destiny.

The surreal air of content surrounding a family of two or three or six or perhaps ten. The knowledge that they belong exactly where they are washing over them with an aura of love and hope for the future.

The scream and tears of joy as someone fulfills their ambition. One stands victorious at the top of the corporate ladder. Another finds success in their personal passions which makes them unique.

So, what if they could make life as they dreamed? Yet, that is not the nature of the beat we deem “humanity”.

Humanity, through its given nature, takes and takes and lusts after every aspect of itself. It is like a gluttonous demon who is never full.

Humanity is trapped in the bottom of hell where every promise is one that will make you full. Every bite is a moments pleasure to keep the addict reaching for more.

Humanity is happiness and hell. It craves itself in an odd way and becomes a dog chewing its tail.

In order to satisfy the beast, must we sacrifice ourselves?
