MUCC live report - Kanazawa

OMG. It’s been so long, but this is still a great opening song!
Tatsurou got a huge toy fire engine on stage, fooled around with it a lot, like crossing the long part with Miya’s guitar neck…
While Yukke and Miya were up at center front in the spotlight, Yukke tried to give Miya a kiss on cheek/neck but Miya ignored him. After that Yukke kept staring at Miya for a while, but kept being ignored / it seemed like Miya had not noticed either action. Poor Yukke~
Also during Flight, Tatsurou left the stage, went to the DJ booth at the back of the floor, and sat on top of that while singing. Apparently he also went to that booth pretty much every time MUCC have played in 8 HALL before XD
During the short MC between Ryuusei and Ieji, Mr. Drumtech dropped something and Tatsurou turned back to the drumset with a „The heck?!“, Yukke made a „ssshhhh!“ at Mr. Drumtech and Satochi covered his mouth with both hands to hide his laughter, he was SO CUTE.
Tatsurou: Even though there is now a shinkansen connection (note: this route just had its one year anniversary so it’s really quite new) with which you can get to Kanazawa very fast, we came by bus. And you know, when going by bus it really feels like we’re on tour! After such a long bus ride, to see the smiles of you idiots! Joy, suffering (kanashimi), despair (zetsubou), just a little bit of light – let’s have fun! Ieji!
For the MC this tour, they come out one after the other. So first Yukke comes out, talks, then Satochi joins him, talks a bit (though more with Yukke than on his own) until Tatsurou is ready to come out, then Tatsourou talks some and finally Miya comes out last, saying a little bit before they introduce CLASSIC and start the encore.
Yukke:
Yesterday I walked around alone in Kanazawa, going for dinner. Then, I saw a guy who looked like he was definitely in a band, and by accident our eyes met for an instant. „Oh no“ I thought, and quickly walked away. Suddenly I felt a strong tugging on my backpack and thought it was a fan trying to rudely stop me, but it was Zetchan! (a bandman he knows, his band also played in Kanazawa the same day as MUCC).
I’m not too sure about the details anymore, but they both wanted to go to the same place, for the same dish even, but that dish was sold out so they got different alternatives which were fine but not what they had been looking forward to XD
Satochi:
- So today I came in (to the venue) with Yukke and there was a fan waiting. She said „Yukke, good morning!“ and … nothing to me. When I went „I’M HERE TOO“ she ignored me. AT LEAST GIVE ME A REACTION, COME ON.
Fans: Good morning Satochi!
Satochi: IT’S TOO LATE NOW
- Yesterday I phoned Yukke [about going for dinner together] but he ignored my call again.
Yukke: So what did you eat yesterday?
Satochi: Ramen.
Yukke: Alone?
Satochi: Ramen. (and nods with the straightest of straight faces XD)
- Satochi: Everyone, when you go the sauna, do you carry a towel? Like, do you cover up? How do girls even do that?
Yukke goes to the back, gets his big black towel, folds it up, holds it like the guys hold it, unfolds, tries to cover like a girl would with a very confused „like this??? maybe?????“ face.
Satochi: Like. The other day I forgot my towel… That was really difficult when leaving! (note: I have no sauna experience in Japan, but in public baths / onsen you’re supposed to wipe down with your small towel so you don’t drip in the changing area, before you get to your big towel for the actual toweling off). I was dripping! So well, I tried to shake it all off.
Yukke: Like a dog??
Satochi: Exactly. To get rid of the sweat. Get rid? Yes, that.
Note: They play in a lot of small venues this tour that heat up easily so they often referred to the venues as „baths“ [we were all bathing in our own sweat. yumm], occasionally upgrade that to „sauna“. And, for those cases where the humidity inside the venue got so bad that it started to drop from the ceiling, that liquid was called „broth“ and given all the dripping, the venue was now a „shower“ instead of „bath“. In Kanazawa it was dripping A WHOLE DAMN LOT, like OMG. SO MUCH. I’m used to small venues where this can happen, but never to this extend o_o)
- Satochi: (while staring at dripping Kanazawa broth) Wow. Does this happen because it’s hot?
Yukke: Yes yes, like, scientifically speaking, from everyone’s heat the air goes up and… like also in filters…
Satochi: (doesn’t even listen, stares at new drops)
Fans: Do your best!
Satochi: Me? DURING MC?!?! No I won’t!!! I ONLY DO MY BEST AT DRUMMING!!!
- Yukke about Satochi engulfed in staring at the dripping: Satochi really likes looking at things. It’s the same with dragonflies. (Tatsurou joins them on stage, is startled into a stop&stare by a drop just in front of him) Yes, and Tatsurou is the same.
Miya was also impressed by the Kanazawa broth when he came on stage.
They were talking about birthday lives, and how they do happen for the July/August three from time to time like Miya on the exact day this tour, like Satochi just one day afterwards this tour, but never for Yukke (November).
Miya: But maybe for our 20th anniversary next year!
Yukke: Wah! That would be so awesome! (looks super happy)
Tatsurou right away: But it’s not YOUR 20th!

Yukke: STILL? After over 17 years? Is that wall between us called Hiro still there?!?
CLASSIC was written entirely by Yukke and he’s always a bit nervous about how the audience will like the song. This time Yukke told us that when writing the lyrics, he filled a whole notebook with writing.
Tatsurou: So most of it was no good huh
Yukke: Still, I received lots of valuable advice from my senpai (bows to Tatsurou and Miya) and from Satochi too -
Everyone internally: WHAT (Tatsurou’s and Miya’s faces at this moment were priceless)
Yukke: - …I received encouragement.
(Ok then.)
Tatsurou: For real though. (Towards fans) Have you ever tried writing the lyrics for a MUCC single? It’s extremely heavy pressure!?!
Fans: … (have not. obviously.) … … *clap*
While the audience sat down during Ranchuu
Tatsurou: Yesterday Pokemon Go was released and it is super popular heh. But! Right here! There are! Gathered! So many monsters! (Makes a gesture like throwing a pokeball at us) KANAZAWAAA!!! GOT YOU AAALL!!!
