Happy Anniversary!
After the coronation part 2, the photo session
Things I ADORE about this clip:
- Charles' giggle (heeheehee!), especially when Philip starts hustling everyone into the photograph
- Anne deciding that she will also cover her eyes after Charles’ does it first
- Parenting moments, like the Queen and Prince Philip holding onto Anne’s hands and fussing over Charles’ hair for the photograph
-The Queen’s little applause when the photographs are finally over cecause you know she couldn’t wait to get that thing off her head
Happy Beltane, friends! #summeriscoming

The Duke of Edinburgh 1921 - 2021
The Royal Family (@RoyalFamily) April 9
Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall fondly recall the “scarier moments” of going carriage driving with their grandfather, Prince Philip.
Philip is a male given name, derived from the Greek Φίλιππος (Philippos, lit. "horse-loving" or "fond of horses") 🥰
Seeing him cry made me cry 😢
One year ago today (on April 9th 2021), Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh passed away at Windsor Castle at the age of 99 ❤️
mike_tindall12 It’s been a very sad week but it has given us time to reflect on great memories and stories both personal and shared. A devoted family man who we will forever miss but always love.

Prince Charles unveils beautiful spring gardens at country home
The Prince of Wales' country home is so beautiful
Prince Charles delighted his fans as he shared a glimpse inside the beautiful Highgrove Gardens at his Gloucestershire country home.

Royal fans can see the outside, which is made from local stone, timber and clay bricks, but the inside is totally top secret with the royal, and only a few chosen friends the lucky people to hold a key to the door.
The Prince of Wales showed tour guides around the expansive gardens, and he looked incredibly dapper in a red-patterned tie and white shirt beneath a green coat. The future King showed the guides various flowers and trees in the gardens, including daffodils, as he spoke about the wide variety of greenery that grow there, as well as the reasons that they were included in this year's collection.
Charles annually shows both returning and new guides around the gardens before they open to the public, which happens on Monday.
The attraction regularly welcomes around 40,000 visitors every year – but one bit they won't see is the inside of the Prince of Wales' secret sanctuary.
The Gloucestershire retreat has impressive grounds and Prince Charles has his own outdoor sanctuary that he keeps under strict lock and key. Situated in The Arboretum, there is a special building which was designed by architect Charles Morris for the millennium.
Judging from the outside of the magical structure with its pointed roof and sweet wooden door, we bet inside is incredible, too – the perfect place to sit and read, perhaps?

The rest of the grounds are just as breathtaking, with a wildflower meadow, a stumpery and a whimsical Thyme Walk
The Queen says thank you for special Jubilee celebration
The Queen says thank you for special Jubilee celebration
The Queen has expressed her thanks to all those who have planted a tree for her Jubilee. As tree planting season comes to an end, Her Majesty expressed her joy in the Queen’s Green Canopy which has seen thousands of people plant trees to mark the 70th anniversary of her reign. The Countess of Wessex rooted a tree at Buckingham Palace as the message was shared to mark the final day of planting.…

The hat was the wrong look for today. And it didn't hide her face.
It hid half of it . People on one side of her were never able to get a good look.
It was a bit dramatic, and unlike Kate.
Prince Philip did have an interest in fashion, and commented on the queen's wardrobe. He is also said to tried encouraging Kate to be more confident. This is the style of hat that was most fashionable during his childhood, that his cousin Marina, considered the most fashionable woman in the BRF,often wore.
I'm actually wondering if Philip once tried to convince Kate to attempt this style. If so, she might be wearing it in his honor, like Charles wore Diana's favorite of his suits to her funeral, even though it was blue, not black.
"He will also attend Charles’s coronation, and all royal weddings. But he will probably get a less visible seat then, the best that can be managed with his rank. Also, he’ll keep dropping in rank with each passing year." What about personally, within the family? Will he be persona non grata or is he just a liability on a public level? Do we know the internal feelings about him?
Charles is exasperated by him.
(Apparently, when they were growing up Charles kept trying to be a nice supportive, encouraging big brother, but Andrew wasn't interested. I'm not sure if it was because Charles was trying to discuss art and literature while Andrew wanted to run around outside, or because Andrew would pull pranks on Charles when he was trying to have a heart to heart. Probably both.
At any rate, Andrew eventually realized that his older brother would always be the most important and decided to get jealous and resentful. Charles knows and puts up with it.)
Anne thinks he's annoying,or at least she did when he was a kid.
Edward finds him too loud for comfort,or, again,he did when they were kids and I doubt it changed.
But from what I can tell, they still love him, and still think he's mostly innocent. He's still at family events. We all have embarrassing and annoying family members.
As for the next generation, I think he's closest to Harry of all his nephews.
Let's focus on this. Not some nonce.
