ever since i learned abt the concept of networking i knew i was going to have to do everything alone and do it the hard way

Networking should be whispers in the streets about this haunted new place. I want to network with gleaming eyes as I actually enjoy the products and service I just purchased. I want to have the flyers of cool places in my own store and freely recommend them to customers.

Networking should be about making a net work and not about building your own by exploiting those of use to you.

On my way to work I come past a gallery. Since the beginning of this week they have a picture up in the display and I can not walk past it. I involuntarily stop and stare. Bewitched my mind and soul.

That's the kind of "love at the first sight" the books speak about and while I might not be a 700 year old fae prince... I am considering my financial chances.

Working in retail taught me:

I'm great at customer service, awful at marketing

Why? Because I refuse to try and sell them the more expensive thing and recommend shops which might carry what they're looking for.
