Today was a long one, working with 1000 plus interactions from 4 year olds at school. Cleaning poo, wee and yougert. (Written in no particular order). Sweeping leaves, moving logs, spending most of it without adult conversation. Getting home, cooking something healthy that no one really enjoys, cleaning dishes, folding laundry. Falling out with the husband.

I am a writer

I’m making it official, enough practicing.

As I take my passion more seriously I learn more and therefore I get more. And for me in life being rich in enjoyment, love and passion is so much more than anything money could ever buy. I’ve also realised, I can be more than a mum.

You may have excitement over a Ferrari, I hope it lasts. I have an elevated heat beat, a smile and pure joy at writing something someone might read. Every single time. And that cost me nothing.

You might wreck your Ferrari, and be gutted. I will still have an elevated heat beat, a smile and pure joy at writing something someone might read. And I can’t wreck that. It will last.

Social media is an incredible platform and it’s the way the world is moving. Don’t be the person who swipes by everyone else’s lives and things, or gets lost in the next trend, be the one that fills it with passion, honesty and inspiration.

Because if this is the way life is moving we need to move with it and fill it with genuine.

So here lies my platform, the odd funny read here and there, but also real honest thoughts, as Jeff Goins once said: Helping people builds trust. With trust comes permission. With permission, the opportunity to share your work.

If I could actually speak in the moment...

I’d say... tell the loudspeaker on wheels, who I don’t know, that revving like that was only Cool in the 80s, if your name was kevin and it was Sharon telling you that.

And that no, your boyfriend who’s now getting in to Kevs car, and you appear to hate, can not leave his bike in our drive, because i can’t sum up a answer that fits into your tiny patience level that seems to be aimed at me but will likely destroy your boyfriends bike given half the chance, (much like his life choice which will likely see him receiving 3 million impatient texts from your Hollywood nails, in the time it takes him to retrieve said bicycle)

... so no child’o’notmine, if you walk around shouting and swearing (likely to be heard over your lovely friends poor music choice) in our drive, at this late hour again. I will silently shave your head with my thoughts, tie it into a ponytail and drag your rudetude ass back in this damn house. And then, you will apologise for being so disrespectful.

Instead what basically came out was “nice night?”

I was a little excited when I borrowed selfieteens jumper. And desperate for a photo, this is a definite mum goal moment. She’s finding her place like most teens do but also getting to know her biological mum. And it’s been more than hard. But as long as she’s happy that’s all that matters. However on the sly…. love this!
