I'm sorry, the woman who is described to have a bond like sister!? Wtf!? Adi Shankar, respect canon a lil bit!?

top Dante? maybe. topping in the sense that he can stop himself from losing control of the situation and showing too much vulnerability.

better yet, Dante just doesn’t fuck. or at least not in the way people write him to.

he truly has bigger issues to be concerned about (i.e., repeatedly ‘killing’ his brother, experiencing serious depression, and saving the world). sex is not a positive thing for Dante. he has canonically been sexually assaulted and harassed since he was young (<18) during his time as a mercenary/Tony Redgrave. he has little incentive to seek out a relationship or hard sex.

he gets verbally violated for having ‘mommy issues’. for crying out for Eva during nightmares. he wakes naked, drunk, a woman preparing to blatantly assault him or at least pressure him into ‘consenting’.

yes this has been talked about many times and i’m not saying anything new or revolutionary, but i genuinely think people just don’t get it.

a character can be attractive without being a sex fiend. the way people talk about Dante is genuinely so distasteful to me, especially on platforms that aren’t tumblr
