Anyway uhh I really love Roll so much. She’s one of my favorite characters, and even though her design may come off as plain, she has one of my favorite designs throughout the entire classic mega man series. As you can see, I based her pose off of a preexisting sprite (top left) and directly used the colors of Roll’s dress, shoes, and hair from her original sprite, and used them on mine.

Look at this little tomato goon, he’s got a little gun. I’ve been playing early Final Fantasy games a lot (I love the games by the way) but the spritework, god I love the mook sprites in early Fantasy Games. The sight of them makes my knees weak because I love them so much (even the critters that are just recolored sprites of other creatures). I also liked how the monsters in early Final Fantasy games are generally facing to the right, rather than looking directly at the player like most monster sprites in other series like Dragon Quest or Earthbound. Thus, I was inspired to make a sprite of something facing to the right, like this little tomato fella. The perspective is a bit lazy for something supposedly facing to the right, but I think it still has charm, and I may revise it at a later date. While making this, I imagined that it’s name would be something among the lines of “Hateful Tomate” if it were in an RPG

Ah, well I finally decided to push myself to make something. Despite my general apathy towards the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I found myself motivated to make something because of the release of Avengers: Endgame. I decided to make something based off of the rather obscure character known as Nester, who appeared only in Nintendo Power magazines, wielding a Power Glove in a threatening manner.
