I developed a nice crush on a guy I ‘met’ two weeks ago (he is a fellow student and teaches a dance class at my school - same classes I mentioned earlier). It’s very rare that I meet a guy that I am fully attracted to so this, this was special. My friend knows him and just informed me that he is in fact (of course) not single. Great guys never are, especially at this age. It seems the older I get the more people are starting to pair up long term. The dating pool is already small and it just continues to shrink. I’m afraid I’m going to pass the point of no return where all potential guys around my age are no longer available.

Well this guy is now single. This same mutual friend contacted him and he remembers me from class and said he’s interested. Him and I have made plans for a date next week.

Holy shit if this actually works out.. Wow.

Trying to not let me mind run wild and ruin things for me.

You know you're lonely when you think you're starting to develop a crush on someone solely because they ask you how your day was on a semi-regular basis...

And you know they're not interested in you, they're just making conversation.

But it's nice of them to ask.

My male roommates said if I don't find someone now at my age I never will because it's all downhill from here for women.

First of all: F*** those guys

Second of all: I'm now hyper aware of my age and relationship status and feel like I desperately need to find someone because they are probably right and.... how could I let them get to me like that ???!?? 😤

If I don't have anything serious going on in my life by the time I finish this program I think I'd like to move to the UK. It looks like a beautiful place.

I wonder if I'd be gutsy enough to even do that.

Tip for my own self-improvement:

Try harder to make eye contact when talking to strangers no matter how awkward it feels.

After 3 years of consistent dance classes I finally went to my first 'intermediate' level dance class. The quotes are because I've been to beg/int classes that have been significantly more difficult but whatever. Anyways I was able to just barely keep up so I'm happy with that. And I'm also happy that I actually forced myself to go. Next I want to really step out of my comfort zone and explore different styles. I wonder where I'll be another 3 years from now..
