Advanced Kabbalistic Meditations of Sefirat HaOmer (Part One) English
Shalom Aliechem it is Yakov Avraham Shepherd here from King David's tomb, from KingDavidKabbalah.com
and I want to give you some kabalistic inspiration with the help of the almighty.
Sefirat HaOmer we have three parts,
the way that i did here in this book is I split the the meditation.
like the Meditation of Sefirat HaOmer into three meditations.
there is obviously like the space to bring in more within the meditation, from the sidur
HaRashash, but for me this is the like the three main parts. (in the kabbalah book for
the Sefirah) you open in P. 276.
The first one is called 'Havla-at Hadamim' to to absorb the blood.
I'm going to explain what it means, the second one is the "Hamshichat Ha Mochin', to bring
down the Abundance into the spherot. and the third one on page 278 is the 'Hamtakat HaDinnim'
to sweeten the 320 Dinnim, Sweeten the Judgments.
Okay let's do an overview on those three parts; so the to Havlat Hadamim' to absorb the blood
as we mentioned generally about Pesach we have the Mochin within the Zer AnPin is Nigh
of Ema of Nigh Abba.
so, the Ariza"l explains that because of the blemish of that which was happening because
of the sin of Adam HaRishon, what happened is that the Nigh of abba disappeared, was
removed from the Nigh of emma.
okay? and that means that the Nigh of Emma which is "AKA" became to be 'ribu-a'; alef
alef kay alef kay yud alef kay yud kay, which is the gematria (numerical value) of dam (blood)
44.
okay so the meditation of Havlat Hadamim is basically to bring back the Nigh of Abba which
is what we're visualizing as yud key vav key into that Rebu-a of AKA and that will turn
the rebuah of AKA to be straight, to be alef without ribua and this is basically the ,havlato
damim' we do that every day into the sefira of the day, of the Zer Anpin, this is basically
the meditation of Havlat Hadamim.
okay? afterwards we're going to see more details about each one of them.
The second which is Hamshechat HaMochin
basically the the same Mochin that we brought in 'lel haseder' (Passover Night) we spoke
about the four cups and the Matzot, right those two parts Mochin of Ema and Mochin of
Abba, All of these Mochin disappear in the end of the Yom Tov, (1st yom tov of passover)
and then we're starting the Sefirat HaOmer to bring them back.
so the same idea of the of the Katnut Alef Gadlut Alef Katnut Bet Gadlut bet, the whole
structure there that we learnt about.
all of that will be applied within Sefirat Ha Omer, that basically we have seven weeks
that is correspond the structure for the for the Hamshechat HaMochin is Chabad (Chochma
bina daat) CHagtam of Chabad Chagtam.
Meaning Chabad and then Chagat then No Nahi (Netzach Hod Yesod) and then Malchut
that is connected with the Tiferet, so in the Havlaat hadamim we're talking about CHagat
Nayam (Chesed Gevurah Tiferet Yesod Malchut) so Chagat Nai de Malchot . seven lower sefirot
but in the Hamshechat HaMochin we're talking about the Chabad Chagad and the Nigh we don't
do.
that we'll do in the in the learning of the Shavuot night.
it's a different structure okay for the seven weeks the the Hamtakat Hadinim , there is
a concept that i think that we discussed in the past , that is the Shach Dinim, 320 judgements
that in Sefirat HaOmer they are like playing a main role, In Sefirat HaOmer like all of
the days of you'll find many places that it says that it's days of judgements, and all
of the whole thing that some people they really like (mistakenly) getting into that mode of
the three weeks of the morning for the Beis HaMikdash, because of the death of the students
of Rabbi Akiva and all of the all of that like channel of of viewing the Sefirat HaOmer
as something that is negative or something so that is because of those judgments.
okay so there is something to it, but it doesn't make it to be negative.
just it means that we need to work on this, like we have something that we need to do
about.
it we have the Fevurah of Atick within the Chochma of Arich.
okay and that that that connection of the left pillar, Gevurah, within the right pillar,
Chohma, that creates a contrast that is pushing out the sparks of judgments.
okay this is in a way similar to power station.
right?
that you have like like two powers that are contradicting each other and that creates
energy, by the the electricity right so those judgments they are flowing down and that becomes
to be the Shach Dinim, the 32 parts of wisdom right Lamed Bet Nitivot Chochma, the
50 gates of Binna.
right those two concepts are the same abundance (sheffa) that comes down from the Chochma
of Arich An Pin. to Abba and Emma and then it comes to Zun.
(Zer Anpin and Nukva) so basically obviously there is like a lot of positive within that,
but there is also something negative and the Ariza"l is counting that is part of one of
the reasons for the shattering of the vessels those those 320 judgments so that that that
means that when we have an opportunity to sweeten those judgments so we are fulfilling
like a big purpose that is basically the what is the what is coming from the beginning of
the creation much before the creation of the of the seven lower sefirot.
We have 320 within every week of the Omer.
okay so if you take 320 and you split the seven days of the week so basically every
day you have to sweeten 45 parts, of those three 315.
and in the last day you have to add another five to complete that account to get to the
320.
so that's another thing and to be honest so Ariza"l said that we should have done one
meditation for that that is according to the gate that our Neshama (soul) went through
when it came to this world . okay so we don't know which gate our Neshama came through,
right?
the Ariza"l was able to see that, then he was telling his students like you have to
do this meditation you have to do that meditation.
Since we don't have that, so what we have is whatever is written in the Shaar HaKavanot
(gates of meditations) which is five or six of the gates, out of the 50 gates total.
and so many years ago when i learned it for the first time so i asked the Rabbi that i
was learning with Rabbi Deror Gilady, i asked him so like you know maybe it's useless?
you know like i'm doing like five or six meditations maybe i'm related with a different gate that
is not one of them.
it is the use?
so his explanation on that was whatever Hashem revealed to us that is what is relevant for
us.
so probably the people that are doing meditations they came through one of those six gates and
the rest of the people of the Jewish nation that are not doing meditations they are related
with other gates.
that his explanation, okay fine.
you know that's a positive way to look at it .so that's what we have and we trust Hashem
that like the reason that He really revealed those because this is what we need.
so the question is; if it's possible to do like all of those three?
you know so that will be the best.
if you feel that it's too much to do all of the three meditations every, every night of
this Sefirat HaOmer, so then it will be it will be better to take one and to focus on
that instead of of mixing it.
i don't think it's a good idea to to jump from one to another, within the Sefirat HaOmer,
like sometimes to do this meditation sometimes to do that one.
Either do everything or to take one or two and to focus on them and to do that continuously.
what kabbalists want to explain is that you have the the names of sag that you need to
sweeten through the week and every day you can sweeten 45 out of them so it's a little
bit similar to the idea of the meditations that we're doing in the tikunim. and it's
quite similar to tikkunin concept.
so there we were speaking about elevating the the sparks from the Kelipa, so let's say
that you're you're doing 45 days right you're elevating 45 parts of the Gematria (numerical
value) of the sag right and then the rest you have to push the next to the next time
to the next session of the Tikkun.
so here it's basically the same idea but we're not talking about sparks it went down to the
Klipa, it is judgements that are within zun and you want to elevate them to ima which
is the the way to Sweeten them basically the same idea basically is also in the next gates.
it goes like in the same way so the second gate is a is based on the name of Adni.
right so they're is it's not exactly the same because you have like Danny (the name of Adny
without the first alef) and daled nun yud and when you're finishing the Danny then you're
adding the Alef.
the Danny is an aspect of din and then you're adding the Alef to sweeten that din.
we have like danny is din numerically, 64.
so every time you're finishing like the the din so you have like the the in the first
day you have the dalet nun and from the nun you have 41 parts, and then you have nine
parts of the nun that goes to the next day and you're doing the yud and then you're starting
to add the aleph.
yeah so what is that aleph of the Mem?
Here you have the din din din din , and you want to turn the din into Adni, so what are
you missing is aleph right?
so where these alephs are coming from? from the Mantzipach (the five judgments the finnel
letters Mem Nun Tzadik Peh and Kaf)
okay so in that second gate, you are elevating the din.
Which is daled yud nun of the Adni and then you're adding the alef so the first aleph
is from the mem second aleph is from the nun third alef is from the tzadik yeah fourth
hour from the pay, fifth alef from the Kaf.
okay so this is those in the brackets (in the Sefirat HaOmer book from Mikdash) so so
this is the second gate!
the third Gate is simple just the name of ma every day!
the the fourth gate is according to shem (name) Elokim that every one of those letters represnt
Elokim, like, aleph is the first Shem Elokim, Bet, that is the second Shem Elokim, gimmel
is the third Shem Elokim and so on.
Every day you have four and a half Shem Elokim (every 5th letter is have the first day and
half the next) and then in the end of the week you're getting to 32 times 32 names,
of Elokim which is the 32 Shem Elokim that is found in Maase Bereshit, okay the fifth
gate is according to shem Shakai (Shin Daled then Yud 314) so basically through the week
it is 45 parts of the shin, until the last day of the week , you're completing the shakai
on the last day which is 314, the missing 6 we add the combinations of the shakai for
320 on the last day.
and the fifth gate is like we said is the name of AKA, Alef then Hay then Alef,
all of the gates are according to the Ariza"l see let's go to what we have this is the six
Gates that the Ariza"l revealed and obviously just you can like go deeper and explain it
like each one of them with the help of Hashem like in a better understanding but for today
I think that's enough.
Baruch Hashem!

Son of a Bird, Kabbalah on witchcraft and Fallen Angels
Fallen Angels is a widely known concept, but many people have wrong perceptions. One of the big myths is that the angels come to the physical world with a physical body. Although there is a possibility that an angle can take a physical body such as when the Angels Visited and ate by Avraham Avinu. We know that it was for a certain time while doing their mission and when they finished they left their physical bodies and returned to the angel's world. A fallen angel on the other hand is an angel that descends in its spiritual level because of our sins. Contrary to the belief that it is an angel that was 'pushed' out of heaven and roams our physical world.
Every mission that an Angle comes to our world for is temporary and the Angel always returns to its spiritual world. An Angel can not come to this world permanently to stay, especially in a physical body. Like a person can elevate his Spirituality through guarding the mitzvot, perfecting one's character, and Kabalistic meditations one can ascend to higher levels and elevate his consciousness to reach the spiritual realms. Ascending from the physical to the spiritual dimensions and receive revelations. Even to the level that he is similar to an Angel and barley has free will, in the same way, Angels are able to come to this world and reveal themselves for a specific purpose or to send a message, still, the physical body is only temporary.
In Israel, this week's parashah is 'Balak' and next week in the diaspora. The Parasha speaks of 2 wicked sorcerers, Bilam and Balak, that went to the school of witchcraft in the mountains of darkness that was run by two 'fallen angels'. Although these 'Mountains of Darkness' seems like a description of a physical place, it is not. Obviously you will not find them in our physical world (try on google maps) rather it is a spiritual place in one of the spiritual dimensions. Just like we try to connect to the worlds of purity, likewise, Bilam and Balak tried to connect to a dark place where the revelation of Hashem is hidden, and that is where they found these angels who thought them the art of witchcraft.
How and Why does Hashem give space to these mountains?
Why put negativity in the world?
the answer that is brought down in the Ariza"l, is that the space that Hashem gave to the negativity is to punish the wicked people. but this seems to us a contradiction it seems like a reward. They have techniques that give them wealth and fame. We must take a deeper look.
The qualities of the dimensions of darkness
Our physical world is spiritual in the middle between the lofty worlds of purity and the worlds of negativity where the mountains of darkness can be found. when a person changes levels in their morality they can either elevate to become closer to Hashem (which is our purpose) or heaven forbid connect to the negative worlds. The Negative worlds aka the dimensions of darkness is a place were resides all the powers of the tuma (impurity), and the power of the Klipot (shells).
What does it mean to go up or down in the spiritual worlds?
It is not a physical elevator or plane.
Since we do not know much about the negative worlds Barch Hashem, we do know that parallel the positive worlds of the kedusha (holiness) In the Kedusha as much as we go up in the higher levels there is more revelation of Hashem.
First, we go up to Asiah, even though there are many connections to this world, they are not the exactly same. The presence of Hashem is felt much stronger in this higher dimension. We see the same principle that when ascending higher to Atzilut the revelations of the presence of Hashem are so abundant that one can see that there is nothing besides Hashem. In Beriah, it becomes so much more definite.
On the opposite side in the worlds of negativity as much as one goes lower into the dimensions of negativity he does not see Hashem and loses the consciousness of the presence of Hashem and feels as there is no law, no judgment, and no punishment. This leads such people to go against the Torah
This is why when we talk with some people they can not understand the presence of Hashem because there consciousness in those lower dimensions.
In Har Sinai, Am Yisrael said Na-aseh and Nishma we will do and we will hear; once we do a mitzvah it raises us to a higher level of spiritual understanding we will be able to comprehend the Torah that comes from a pure and high spiritual world. This is also the meaning of mitzvah causes mitzvah and avera causes avera. Since when we do a mitzva we go higher and our revelation becomes more clear and we are able to do another mitzvah since we have less inclination to sin. On the opposite side when we sin there is a part of Hashem that is concealed from us that lets us sin again and makes it more difficult to do mitzvot.
therefore those that do not live in holiness, and who still have revelations and powers, where do they get these from? From the Sitra Achara, the negative side, it is not possible that one can have revelations from Hashem if he is not pure. More on our website
