Comparing the new verbolten theming to its peak 2012 theming rn and it's actually pissing me off SO BAD. I feel like the reason why I understand Lynch's films is because he's very emotional and symbolic heavy as opposed to strict plot. In my own writing I tend to come at it from an emotional, visercal, and scenic level too.
