Liquid Sunset A splash of colour renders the sky red A calm falls as the Sun prepares to set A tiny splatter of purple here, A little sprinkle of blues Above - it all begins to cool Down - a different life blooms I am here, I am now Watching the sky as the Sun takes a bow A time has gone yet another to rise What life lived, what moment lies One more page is ready to end, Wonder how many are there left to bend With the velvety wrinkle in breeze Like a dream’s twinkling whisper The Star gives and slips under Blessing the planet with a thousand breaths I feel I’m here, I hear a feeling pass Witness the Earth turn and glitter at last In the dying rays of the orange, yellow and past A touch suspended as a leaf dance with a lass No more to say as the day has fallen The thoughts too, that burned the wicker The palette is dark, the night has begun A newness of deep purples and blues Some distinct shades of anticipation stir What brings two steps from now? Who has seen from the glass window? A life at turmoil, a life at peace Or a life that ebbs and flows into infinity. -K Last photo credit: @rosemahmumtaz 🌸 https://www.instagram.com/p/CE42RQJBcLV/?igshid=1oyyofmz0opsw
