ಎರಡು ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಅಷ್ಟೇನೂ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗದೆ ಎಲ್ಲೋ ಮೂಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೆ. ಇವತ್ತು ಮತ್ತೆ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಪರವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂತ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿತು. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ!

Shelved this two three years ago thinking it was not up to the mark. But now, looking at it, I'm like — sister what were you thinking? 😄 Sometimes I need to ask my inner critic to shut it.

it is my birthday today. as a gift to me, tell someone you know about palestine, but don’t just tell them about our death. tell them about our life, the way we crowd around to flip the maqlooba, the insistence that someone else eats first, the tatreez we’ve woven into the fabric of our history, tell them about the soap from nablus, the oranges from yafa, the olive oil. tell them about our poetry, our art, our folksongs. tell them that we were, and still are, human beings who bore witness to the worst parts of humanity but searched for compassion anyway.

Watched Hindi movie Three of Us yesterday & had to sketch it. This movie felt like a book. :) Shefali Shah & Jaideep Ahlawat were stellar of course, but Swanand Kirkire stole my heart! The poor paper I sketched on was not meant for watercolour, but you gotta do what you feel is right, right?

Thinking of this little Palestinian girl dancing at a refugee camp despite the bombings, despite the bloodshed and deaths, despite the constant fear of death.

We got to witness joy despite everything. This has been on my mind ever since. I hope this child is safe. I constantly hope and pray for everyone's safety there.

Watched the first 25 minutes of Hindi movie Aradhana at the Gaiety Theatre, Shimla, at a film festival. And the rest at home.

The plot twists had us in a chokehold. 😄

My bebe reaches for my arm and rests his head on it, and my heart becomes a puddle. He has been doing this ever since he came to me.
