@/niallhoran: It all began at a dinner party, where I met my ex-girlfriend.
She was funny, kind, and effortlessly beautiful. Together, we built a life filled with memories--adopting our dog, Tommy, cheering from the stands at countless sporting events, and sharing the kind of moments that stay with you forever. When we first met, I truly believed I had found the person I was meant to spend my life with.
But deep down, there was a part of me that felt unfinished. For years, I carried feelings for someone else, keeping them locked away where I thought they could never hurt anyone. I poured myself into music, hoping it would quiet those emotions, but as time went on, I couldn't ignore the feeling that I was leaving a chapter of my life unwritten. She saw it before I was willing to admit it myself.
With remarkable grace, she let me go. What could have ended in heartbreak instead became one of the most meaningful friendships of my life. Because of her support, her compassion, and the love she showed me (even when it wasn't easy) I found the courage to become my most authentic self. And finally, after nearly ten years, I told the person I had been quietly loving just how much he meant to me.
Without that dinner party, my life would look very different today.
My new album, Dinner Party, belongs to you now. It's a love letter to both my ex-girlfriend and my boyfriend, Harry Styles (@fameharry), but it's also a celebration of the people who change our lives in ways we never expect. The people who help us become who we're meant to be.
I poured my heart and soul into every song on this record, and I hope you can hear that in every lyric, every melody, and every note.
