School is such a fucking shitshow sometimes.
Family members talking about staying too long after family parties while they're overstaying themselves...
When that need to do YouTube videos comes up again but you barely have ideas and the few that you come up with are shit. :(
Christmas Seasonās on :)

The Man from U.N.C.L.E
Okay, so I watched this movie last night and didnāt have very high expectations, judging from itās 7.3/10 rating on imdb, but I have to say, that rating doesnāt do the movie justice at all. If you want to find out why I think so, keep on reading!
The Man from U.N.C.L.E is an incredibly stylish movie. Itās just so damn cool. The editing is pure porn and the camerawork is flat out amazing. There are many scenes that are just jawdroppingly cool and Iām struggling here to put the enjoyment that comes up watching this film in words. The acting by leads Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer is rather good, but I wouldnāt say itās outstanding. Female leads Alicia Vikander and Elizabeth Debicki are also very solid and Debicki in particular delivers a great performance as Femme Fatale-esque villain.
So, the formalities of a review aside, why should you watch this movie? Iāll tell you why. Itās just new. Itās incredibly fresh and fun to watch. Thereās a decent number of well delivered jokes and also that special āspy-coolnessā. Additionally, the chemistry between Cavill and Debicki makes the whole villain party (which is rather uninteresting, as the story is boring and not at all fresh or new) more interesting and likeable. Thereās just no reason to not watch this movie. I donāt really have any more words to describe it, so have the intro and get in the mood of the entire movie. Trust me, it one-ups that stylish intro every 15 minutes or so. Thanks for reading and leave your opinion of the movie in the comments if you like! :)
Tune of the day ~
Alias Grace
Okay, so I just finished watching Alias Grace. Looking at the really positive reviews, I canāt really get behind it. To me, it wasnāt a 8/10. It was a 6/10. But let me explain why. I will mark spoilers, so youāre fine if you still want to watch the show.Ā
Personally, I first thought that the setting was very interesting, very fresh, as Iād never seen a show set in the mid 19th century. So I went into the show wanting to like it. I also liked the main characters, especially Grace was portrayed really well. To me, the scenes with Dr. Simon Jordan and Grace were the best in the show, generally all theĀ āpresentā scenes. The flashbacks werenāt all that interesting, and thatās what makes the show so bad for me. You know whatās going to happen all along and for the first episode itās kinda interesting seeing Graceās life, but after that it gets rather dull, even with some minor upsets about minor characters nobody cares about because they havenāt really been established. I get that itās a short show and that thereās less time to introduce characters, but I think they just didnāt do a good job making the viewer like and care about the characters. I liked the subplot about theĀ āJā which made the ending very interesting. So yeah, about the ending. Itās great. For me, the final episode is the best of the show, by far. The fates of the characters after the main story are really interesting and not predictable at all. Plus: the morale was kinda the best thing in the whole show for me. :)Ā
Spoilers ahead:Ā Ā
The way Grace and Jamie, a character whoās name starts with a J but you never thought about, reunite is just great. Jeremiahās prophecy fulfills as in the end, itāll all be fine for Grace. Additionally the ill fate of Dr. Jordan gives a nice contrast to the very positive ending. For me, the morale of always going forward as thereās always more to life was great. You just have to keep on fighting or else youāre gonna miss the best parts of your life.
So, as a conclusion, Iād say that the show is just fine, but that you should know what youāre getting into. The cinematography is not exceptional, the story is not that much of a nailbiter, and so on. If you want to watch a chill show with an enjoyable ending, go ahead and watch it, itās only 6 episodes. But other than that, thereās really not that much of a reason to watch it in my opinion.Ā
Thanks for reading this! Please leave a comment to tell me what I could improve to make the text more interesting or enjoyable to read! Thanks for your feedback and have a nice day! :)Ā
Oh my god. I wasnāt feeling all that great the last days and again kinda failing to see the purpose in life but now Iāve stumbled upon this little gem again... Should see the movie again. Itās just so beautiful. Makes me appreciate art again.. :)
