Nightsongtale lore? Oof, big question. There's bit and pieces all over my tumblr and aoe3. Ummm I had a write up somewhere around here -div
"So you want to know about Nightsongtale, huh?" the bartender asks as she looks you over. Trixie, a name you would do well to remember, fixes you up a house special lavender lemonade as she contemplates how to answer your question.
"Most important thing to know about Nightsongtale is that each monster soul is made up of a song. Some humans too, if they are lucky enough to be considered Song Souls. But mostly, it is a monster thing. As you can imagine, music is an extremely important part of their lives. In fact, they need music or they can fall down. So once they all broke free of their Underground, it only made sense for them to open up a place where they could enjoy music uninhibited." Trixie stated helpfully as she handed you the drink. Then she looked across the dance floor, swaying a little to the nightcore song being pumped through the speakers. When she looks back to you, her smile is a little sadder.
"Not that everything has been all hunky dory for them up here. Most people aren't too welcoming of monsters in the city. Laws like 'no body, no crime' have been passed that basically make it legal to kill them, since they only leave behind dust. And of course, The Lab is only considered safe because Suave-" she stops herself from continuing on with a shake of her head. "Well, that's Suave's song to sing. What you need to know is that the club is safe for monsters, even ones that visit from other AUs. No cops and no humans with ill intent allowed."
Trixie leaves to go take care of a nice rabbit monster couple and to send off a few drinks to customers at the the sitting area. When she returns, she is a little surprised at you still nursing the lemonade.
"Heh, greedy for info huh? Guess I can't blame you. How about I give you a little intro to the staff here? Suave, the Sans of this AU, owns and runs The Lab. His brother Mixer is the DJ here. He's the one up in the booth right now." she chuckles and points to the tall skeleton with the bright orange headphones. "Now, if you look closely around the floor you might be able to spot MJ, our human head of security. She and Undyne work together to make sure everything stays peaceful and fun. Don't get on her bad side, but treat her with respect and she'll do the same. If you do manage to get on the wrong side of her fist, you'll be needing the attention of our on site medical staff, Lilly. She's pretty much the brains of the whole operation and she keeps Suave from spending our entire budget on his Soy Sauce. I run the bar, of course. And if you are in the mood for a snack, Alphys is queen of the kitchen. And a few times a month, you'll see Grillby visit to perform a fire show for the crowd. Other than that, just a few regulars.... Now, I think you have been occupying my stool for long enough. Get out there and dance! There will be plenty of time for more questions later." Trixie shoos you away after refilling your lemonade. Long after you're gone and she is wiping away the condensation from your glass away, she whispers to herself. "As long as Suave survives, that is."
