So rewatching S3 it’s clear Vecna couldn’t attack Hawkins or get revenge on his own so he had to send out his fleet (Demogorgons, Demodogs, Meat Flayer). I think it’s about 100% impossible for him to physically come to Hawkins or even make a Gate. El is the only person who can create gates which further goes to show how much more powerful she is then 001. I only wonder now if Russia also has its own version of the HNL program which would further follow the real life MKULTRA 😳

So yea stranger things the best piece of television ever so my theory about Vecnas plan sees Vecna carrying out what he said thru Billy about killing El her friends then destroying the world and making it whatever he wants. I think Vecna isn’t actually the boss of the upside down like he thinks he is. My guess is that the Mind Flayer is using Vecnas abilities and powers to get access to our world (he’s basically a Vessel) to destroy Hawkins/the real world.

They could be working together considering there’s nothing to support that MF is just a evil world destroyer but what’s the incentive for the MF to give Vecna access to the army and the MF itself??

I believe the trade off here is that Vecna wants revenge on El and humanity BUT is unable to access our world. If Vecna could just come back and kill El and get his revenge then why was the Demogorgon in Season 1 a thing or the Spider in season 3.

Either Vecna can’t open gates on his own or he cannot leave the upside down at all due to what El did to him in 79.

For Vecna to even open gates he had to kill people which 11 didn’t even have to as we see in the Massacre.

11 is apparently stronger than 001 as we see 4 different times now she can open and close gates at will it seems easily fight Vecna psychically and mentally and banished him to the upside down what seems like is permanently.

The Mind Flayer either wants to destroy earth along Vecna or isn’t a smart being like we’d originally thought and is only the hive mind for both the upside down it exists in and the creatures there.

Hopefully they explore the MF itself more since it doesn’t have a clear motive atm

Also Will is interesting to note as well I hope he gets powers or more powers with his MF sense.

He’s the only survivor of the MF or Vecnas attacks/control

We’ve seen that the mind flayer and 001 has a deadly grip on its victim but Will has gone 2-0 with them and after S4 we see that’s not an easy W.
