âSo YOUâRE Donghyuckâ
Hi, bbys!!! This idea is not mine, the user @/1haechan posted the idea on twitter and said people could use it so, here we are hehe! This is also my first member x member fic and of course I had to go with my babies markhyuck!! This is based also on this video,,, Lucas is a dumbass but we love him anyway,,
Synopsis: Lucas could be dumb, like really dumb but sometimes, haechan is thankful for it.
Warnings: Swearing?, Lucas being VERY stupid bless him
It wasnât every day that you found out your friends crush, and also best friend liked someone else. It all started when Mark texted Lucas asking to grab a coffee so they could have a chat. This confused Lucas because one, Mark hated coffee and two, they lived in the same fucking house, why could they not just talk there? Lucas obliged anyway, deciding he could use some time away from the dorm. When he arrived Mark was sitting in the corner seat, bitting on the straw of his ice fruit tea. Mark had a habit of doing that when he was nervous. The conversation started pretty normal, as normal as it can get when Mark looked like he was about to shit his pants any second.
âSo, why did you bring me here dude? What was soooo important that you had to talk to me out of the dorms? You gonna confess to me or something?â
Mark let out a small laugh at that, his face turning bright red. Lucas was the first person Mark told that he was gay and ever since Lucas liked to joke that Mark was in love with him, much to Markâs annoyance.
âYou wish Lucas, but youâre along the right lines. I have a crush.â
Lucas picked up his drink, taking a long sip,
âDo spill the tea Markusâ
And thatâs where It went wrong for Lucas. See Lucas also happened to know that another one of their band members, Haechan, liked Mark. So for the rest of their time at the cafe, Mark sat talking about this âDonghyuckâ, listing every reason he loved him, from his eyes to his laugh whilst Lucas thought about what the fuck he was going to say to Haechan when he got back.
Lucas kept Markâs secret under wraps for the next few days whilst he decided what to do. His first idea was to tell Mark about Haechan, but he knew Haechan would kick his ass and he wasnât about to get all his bones broken by the younger boy. His second was to confront this âDonghyuckâ guy and give him a piece of his mind, but then he realised, he had no fucking clue who this guy was and quite frankly, he didnât want Mark to hate him for the rest of eternity for beating up his new man. So he settled on telling the younger boy about Marks new crush, this way Mark would never have to know about Haechanâs crush and he could get over it on his own.
Once he decided on his plan, he wasted no time in executing it,
âHAECHAN WE NEED TO TALKâ
âWoah Lucas what the fuck dude you canât just barg-â
âMARK HAS A CRUSH ON SOME GUYâ
At that moment Lucas wished he wasnât so energetic and loud sometimes because watching Haechanâs face fall was probably the worst thing heâd seen in a long time.
âHey dude, Iâm sorry. I should have handled that better, itâs just, Iâve been thinking about this for the last couple of days and once I finally thought of a plan I-â
âWah, well I,, um,, does it really matter? Is it really going to-â
âWong Yukehi, do NOT fuck with me right now. Tell me who Mark likes or I will break every single one of those bones in that dumb body of yoursâ
Haechan was mad. Like really mad, and when Haechan was mad, it ended one of two ways:
The first time Lucas witnessed this was when Jisung broke Haechanâs Xbox controller. To cut a long story short, it was a good thing Taeyong was between the two boys because it would have ended in broken bones and they wouldnât have been Haechanâs.
Lucas had only witnessed this option once when Haechan found out they would be in Japan for his mothers birthday and if Lucas was honest, he would take the first option any day over the second.
The problem was, Lucas was not looking to get punched today. So reluctantly, Lucas told him.
âI really do not see how this is going to help BUT, if you must know, he likes some guy called Donghyuck. Iâve never heard of him before but I SWEAR once I find out who he is Iâm gonna beat his ass for you ok?â
The boys sat in silence for a while. Lucas trying to think of a response and he could only assume Haechan was trying to process the information he just learnt.
âTell me what he said.â
âWait what? No thatâs really not a good id-â
Haechan had a look on his face that for once, Lucas couldnât read and that made him even more nervous. So with a large gulp, Lucas told him everything Mark said, word for word. He told him about his eyes, how he loved his laugh and even the âcuteâ little mole he had at the base of his neck. Once he was finished, Haechan had that same unreadable look on his face, filling Lucas with worry, causing him to brace himself for the incoming punch he thought he was going to receive.
Except for that punch never came, instead, the younger boy spoke,
âLucas. See that black box in the corner there? Bring it here.â
Lucas was confused, but obliged, not wanting to upset the younger boy anymore. He picked up the box which looked to be a small document holder and placed it on the floor in front of them.
Lucas gave Haechan a confused look, wondering what the hell this has to do with Mark liking another guy.
âItâs just filled with a bunch of paperwork?â
Lucas put his hand in a pulled out a passport.
âOk Haechan, now youâve got me confused. What the fuck does this have to do with your heart being broken by mark?â
Lucas opened it, flicking it to the page that contained Haechanâs baby photo.
âOk Haechan youâve really lost me. Itâs a cute baby picture but what has this got to do wi-â
âLee Donghyuck? Now please explainâŚ. oh,,,,,,OH!â
At that was the moment it hit him. He stood up in shock. There it was printed in black and white: Lee Donghyuck. Haechan was Donghyuck and Donghyuck was Haechan. They had been friends for 3 years and Lucas didnât even know his real name. Haechan just sat with a smirk on his face whilst he watched Lucas go through an array of emotions.
Eventually, the younger boy stood and walked up to Lucas, patting him on the shoulder.
âItâs ok, I never mentioned it because well, I thought you knew.â
âSo YOUâRE Donghyuck! I can believe I didnât know. Sorry for threatening to punch you dude.â
âItâs ok, you were just looking out for me. Now on an unrelated note have you seen Minhyung? I think we need to have a chat.â
