What a trip // Sadie & Noah
"That’s a sport," Sadie laughed. She was thankful he played along knowing full well someone else could have, and probably would have, seen and made fun of her. Even if she didn’t fall, the nymph still felt embarrassed. "Yessir, I’m fine and dandy." She paused, realizing he was probably headed somewhere and she interrupted him. "I’m so sorry though, I didn’t mean to keep you from where you were going just now."
Realistically, Noah knew that the girl would be fine, and that he should just nod his head and move on. However, deep under that Southern twang and good-ole-boy roots, there was a part of him that generally cared about people. Not to mention she was a looker - even if she was way too young for him. "Good. Good. Then it'll stay our little secret." He held out his hand in case she needed a steady hand up, but shook his head when she began speaking. "I was debating, actually, if I wanted to be healthy today, or say screw it and get a beer. You gave me more time to debate. What do you think I should do?"
Out for a drink | Nick & Noah
"One of those days I take it? Had that kind yesterday myself," Nick replied. Just the thought of the customer from the day before made Nick want to shake his head. He never understood why some parents would buy their kids shitty cars for a birthday gift, instead of making the kid have the responsibility to buy it themselves. If they bought it themselves, it would not give the young teen more reason to be an ass to their parents. Once concluding the thought, Nick reached forward to take another sip of his drink and to retrieve another cigarette from his pack. "My day? It’s been alright other than being tired as hell from being out late last night. Just trying to relax before heading out once again for the night," Nick commented.
"One of those days," Noah nodded, giving the guy a sympathetic wince when he said that had been his day yesterday. "Shit, sorry man. I wouldn't wish this here day on anyone." The Oklahoma accent was thick as he spit out the words and took another swig of his beer. "Party animal," the human grinned, raising his glass to the other man. "I can get behind that. I'm Noah. Hey...ain't you a mechanic? i think I saw you at the shop where I take my truck when it hits the skids. Which is usually...well, every week lately."
Handle It || Angel & Noah
All she heard was ‘nice moves’, as if she didn’t already know. Turning to the side she saw a human looking her way, startled almost at what she just did it seemed. Still waiting for her food, this was what she got for insisting take out from a place that wasn’t so big on it. What a noble knight, coming to help her. If she didn’t know any better Angel might have punched him too had he been coming her way. “Prison” she deadpanned keeping her face straight wondering how he’d react. “It changes people.”
There were days in Afghanistan when it was a constant fight. From the second he woke up on some dusty village street til the moment he laid his head down - if he laid his head down - at night, survival was one constant battle. He was a fighter, a damned good one at that, but the beauty in front of him could probably hold her own against him. Prison. Prison his ass. You learned to shank people in prison, not deliver almost perfect martial arts moves. "That is does," he answered back, just as dead panned, though a slight smile crept up the corners of his mouth at his next statement. "You get any tats? I was always a fan of the shank-turned-tattoo needle with cigarette ash ink. Artistic."
Handle It || Angel & Noah
After ordering her lunch, Angel pulled out her phone and looked at a few messages she had. She was the lucky one who got to bring back lunch for everyone. It wasn’t so bad, not until she felt a bulky hand on her waist. Her entire body still as the hellhound slowly turned her head around. “Get your hands off before I do it myself” she warned. He gave her one of the ugliest attempts at a smile and tried to pull her closer as she turned. The place was busy and getting crammed so his actions went unnoticed. “You really want to be able to use those again?” She looked down at his hands that were both on her waist. At his dumb smirk she kneed him right in the balls, and punched him straight in the face from the jaw up. Grabbing his shoulders she pushed him off with much more strength than was needed and he went falling to the floor. Turning around “order ready?” she questioned as people around her were eyeing her warily.
Noah was already moving the second he saw the drunk put his hands on the brunette at the counter. Grab his hand. Twist the thumb. Break if necessary. Follow it up with a punch to the jaw. The right side...he seemed to be favoring it. Knee to the groin. He'll drop like a sack of potatoes. His battle plan forming in a nanosecond, he was stopped cold when she handled the problem - very well, he might add - by herself. Noah was left standing with a probably stupid looking, half-awed grin on his face. "Nice moves," he said, keeping a wary eye on the idiot in the floor lest he pull something stupid - or a knife. "Was coming to help, but I guess you sure showed him. Where'd you learn ta fight like that?"
Out for a drink | Nick & Open
After the results of last night’s fun at Atlanta’s own Halo Club within Midtown, Nick stopped at the Vortex within Lil’ Five once his shop was closed up for the evening. The only things on his mind the information acquired from the night before and desire to grab a drink or two. Since it was only shortly past 5, the Vortex was not yet crowded with the rush for dinner as it normally is later in the evening. This gave him the opportunity to sit at the bar and reflect. After getting a beer from the bartender, he turned with his back leaning against the bar and peered among the people within the bar. Right before he was about to turn back to face the bar, Nick noticed someone a few stools down from him. With a quick smirk turned and asked, “how is your day turning out?”
Fuck the Carringtons. It was beer-thirty. The bartender had just set the frosty mug down in front of him when he heard someone speaking to him a few stools down. Noah slugged back a long pull from the mug, and sighed happily in contentment before even trying to formulate a response to the man's question. "Right about now? It's fucking great. Had you asked me three hours ago..." He let his voice trail off as he took another giant swallow. "How about yourself?"
What a trip // Sadie & Noah
Sadie had a hankering for a smoothie. Ever since she tried the sunrise smoothie from Arden’s Garden, she could constantly crave it. Making her way to the place, she felt her shoe get caught on a missing part of the sidewalk making her trip. “Oh, shoot.” Left Sadie’s lips as she gasped, laughing at herself when she caught her balance. Looking around to the person nearest to her, she looked at them wide-eyed with a grin on her face. “I did not just trip. You do not just see that.”
Noah didn't go in for all that health crap. In fact, he was most definitely a burger and beer kinda guy, but since coming to work for the Carrington family... well, things had changed. A bit. They practically lived on his phone, so he couldn't so much take a step out of line without them questioning him. Today, he was standing outside Arden's Garden debating on a smoothie or a beer from Vortex with a young brunette girl tripped right in front of him. "Gotcha. I didn't see nothin'. Your secret is safe with me. You okay though?"

I’ve had this pic forever and honestly can’t remember where it came from. It may have shown up here before but I believe it bears repeating because I so love cowboys and this one in particular. Y’all enjoy.
Just Like You || Noah & Angel
"At least they’re in good hands. I’m sure some can’t be whipped into shape, even by you." The hellhound smirked at the human. Taking a large swig of her beer, she looked down at the bottle before swinging it by the neck, side to side. "Ouch. You’ll live." Her bright eyes drifted to where he pointed as she raised a brow. She had to think for a minute about who this Rin person was. Right, the frigid woman who worked with him. "And what story would that be?" She was curious about how he would have explained it. One thing was for sure, he definitely wouldn’t have told her or anyone about the time he found her. Broken and so unlike her usual self. As far as she remembered that was when he found out she wasn’t human. "Yeah I ate it" she stuck her tongue out at him. Angel shook her head, she didn’t like mushrooms on her pizza.
You'll live, she said. He hoped that was true, and he hoped she was going to as well. He flipped her the bird when she said it though, then dialed the number for the pizza place. "The story of how I got involved with the Mythics here," he said before pushing send. "About Harper and Cale and the rest." He nodded at her non-verbal request, and quickly placed an order for a pizza all the way, hold the mushrooms. Hanging up, he tossed the phone on the table and leaned back against the couch. "You ate it, huh? Good, cause I spit on it after you didn't answer the door." He was teasing of course, but no way was he going to tell her that.
I don't think I've ever expressed just how thankful I am for all the help you've given me. You mean, so so much to me.
You've been really kind to me and helpful. Thank you for helping me find answers that not many people could give. I wish you all the best.
I don't care how many bullets you take tomorrow, you better come back breathing and alive.
