Yan re2 Leon who has failed successfully to get in a relationship with reader and clings onto her in the night as they sleep curling around her lovingly caging her in his arms. Re2 Leon who is always on the brink of crying after he had to deal with zombies, bioweapon, death all around him but he cannot stay away from you for a long time. Like he literally looks like a sad kicked puppy when you just leave to take a shower without him. Why without him?!?
You have to admit that it's cute how he begs for you to come back or he snuggles to you when you are in bed, about to sleep. It wouldn't surprise me that, at the time, Leon often suffered from nightmares or insomnia, so he always seeks your warmth, your perfume, your presence so when he's half asleep and can't find you... His heart skips a beat. His mind is still hazy from sleep so Leon immediately thinks the worst and is ready to pick up his gun, until you come out from the bathroom yawning, completely clueless to what Leon is going through, but only a look on his face makes it all clear. And obviously you have to run back to him, hugging and kissing him all over muttering some excuses, because you just feel so bad about everything that he had and has to go through.
Poor, poor Leon who totally doesn't use this at his own advantaged multiple times with no remorse. You have to go out? Without him? When you could have been hurt? It's all what ifs with him but the hurt in his eyes. The fear. And you have to remind yourself that Leon saw what probably most of people would describe as hell, and the government give him little to no time to processes it and has to go through some hellish training now... You don't have the heart to make him sadder now.
So you just stay at his house. Again and again. Until you will have no intention of ever going out...
Re5 was a fun game to play with a friend and also to not take too seriously, the sad part is that it had TONS of potential if it was just used correctly. And also some of the boss fights were either very not intuitive or bugged for us lol (and me and Chris will forever fight over who breeds Wesker I fear)
But now that I'm playing re6 I fear... I was already struggling with the prologue lol but we will see. I also kind of hate the localisation? It's weird. Not the voice actor's fault of course, but I already put in English (shame, Leon has such a good voice)

This also kinda fits with an idea I had with my re2 Leon stalker and you actually finding out his "past", but this works much better with an older leon so past re4. When he's much better at his work, more used to it, more desperate and also cynical.
Like Leon is so used to his cruel, grey, and cold that seeing you makes him feel finally warm again. Happy and hopeful like he once was, before having happened back in Raccoon City, so can you really faulty him for trying to get you all from himself? When he's such a poor, needy, man who has seen stuff that he doesn't even want to share half of it. So of course you take him between your arms, hugging him tight and giving him all the light, care, and love you can give him.
The truth is that, sure, you have him between your arms and under your charm as well, you are inside a cage that cannot be seen. Not yet. Not if he avoids make you see some of the visible bars, when you can just watch him with your pretty eyes. Why would he make you see something so awful and possibly kill your light, when he can protect it from everyone else? He loves you so much after all, he's willing to do stuff he never thought he would do.

But that's only because you are near. If you aren't violence will be Leon first thought and action. He will remember the face of people who have dared to flirt with you or got too close to you, and find them with ease later during the day. Whatever Leon goes to meet with him or just sends something threatening that can't possibly ignore is up to what they did, the worse it the better luck they better have. And he would simply call you to say that he's sorry, work related stuff that he can't talk about it right now, he can't come back home like he wanted to. Leon promises he would find a proper way to apologize, just say what you wanted, and he as soon as he is free he will go and buy it. You can't hear it from the phone the muffled sounds of someone crying, tied up with some ropes in a basement, confused and terrified as blood keeps coming out from the previous would Leon infected on them.

Leon is a knight. A very good one to be exact, though not that you ever saw him do anything in particular... Or saw him at all. The first time you saw him was after your father assigned him as your personal guard, before that you only heard whisper and rumours. Leon was always kept away, missions to dangerous for any other knight, enough to make a less devoted knight start asking question they shouldn't know the answer.
Meeting the actual Leon was weird. You imagine him differently; older, less big, and definitely less cheeky and without any type of humour, as you were used with your old guard. At the very least, he tells you, being your sitter isn't particularly a hard job or a traumatizing one. You aren't sure if he's glad to have this "boring job" or if he misses the fun of the more dangerous jobs. You aren't supposed to care in the first place.
If you have to be honest however... You are worried. Your old guard died in his sleep, that's what they told you at least, and then Leon is now your new guard? Maybe you are over thinking it, but it seems like they are hiding something from you. Or that at least your father is worried. You can't ask neither Leon or your father, since you knew they were going to avoid or not answering at all so it was on you to found out. It was going to be hard since Leon was around you all the time, even when taking a bath he was right outside your door, waiting. You were glad he refused to be inside with you, even joking about it most of the time to annoy you.
But Leon always made sure you never found out too much, not wanting your pretty head to worry too much about things out of your control or too horrid. What you really found out was how Leon was a nice, soft, and even kind knight. To you. He really didn't have much patience for anybody else as he did with you, his blue eyes were softer when he looked at you, a small smile appears on his face.
You weren't sure when exactly you started noticing those things however. Or looking at Leon differently, for that matter. In the rare times when Leon wasn't listening, or simply pretended not to, would try to get some gossip from you about your relationship.
Which was strictly professional one. He was guard, that's it. Nothing more between you two.
However, when your father started to talk about your future, your future marriage, you were distraught in a way you never imagined being. Not that you wanted to get married to a complete stranger, but you learn to accept it. Now your heart was screaming. Your mind was loathing the mere thought. And your eyes, crying.
