(Just Kill) So much groove in this beat. The opening ocean sound is so crystal clear. I’d come back just to feel the waves again. The sun has come back, taken over, wish it would last forever.

Covert is mathy, without a doubt - there are half measures, interesting time signatures, and parts that are chopped up into new patterns - suprisingly keeping themes without effort.
They sing in Japanese, but the lyrics are printed in English (If you pick it up on vinyl). Even if Boris knows they are making music for Americans, it still feels like an off-shore record. Lots of ambient phase-shifted noise, feedback solos, and it has the clarity of vocals reminiscent of J-Pop. "Ghost of Romance" leans into the shoe-gaze feedback wall, which gives it a ghastly saunter. Giant sounds with buzzing cuts make you wish you were seated in front of a full-stack (Just to relish the power of it all).
Touches of shoe-gaze, while trading out ambient sounds for satisfying distortion. This manages to feel spacious and atmospheric with echoey vocals, yet heavy enough to scratch an itch. At first listen your friends might wonder why you are listening to Russian, and you can firmly tell them that the language, much like German, lends itself to harder vocals and a darker emotion. The entire album is equally as satisfying and consistent as “Возвращайся”. The album artwork is in oil, and set in a Russian tundra.
