He grinned wider when the two walked away from the alleyway and Nora further expressed her unaffected opinion on her brother, his head cocked to the side in mild interest before he bit his lower lip and narrowed his eyes, âNo,â Will laughed, âThank you for not treating me like Iâm insane â youâd be surprised by how many people would.â Moving towards the diner, he held open the door for Nora and followed her inside, looking around before sliding into the nearest booth and shrugging out of his backpack, opening it and pulling out his sketch book, handing it over to his sister as he waved over a waitress.
âAs spoken like one of the greats, weâre all a little mad here. Itâs nice seeing Iâm not alone.â Nora nodded her head in gratitude as she entered the diner and sat along the bench opposite Will. The hair, the face, a memory stirred in her mind and she suddenly realized it was Jacqueline Montgomery. What someone may feel as horror, she saw as tremendously brilliant. âWill, I should ask you something.â Her gaze lifted to rest on Willâs features as Nora lowered her voice, âDo you have...fantasies? You know, about causing someone harm or, or killing? This isnât just an appreciation for art.â
