Gotta love the way she sleeps

Even though they’ve only been together for 12 weeks, I don’t think they could handle being apart

the pets for sale on Craigslist sound horrifying

My parents purchased our Great Pyrenees (who passed two years ago) and Newfoundland (who is old and in poor health) from Craigslist as puppies and let me tell you they kind of are horrifying.

Juno, the Pyr, was separated from her mom at 3 weeks, and my parents got her when she was 4 weeks (the sellers told my parents she was 9 weeks old) and they had been keeping her in a cat carrier for almost 14hrs a day. When my parents went to pick her up and saw her condition they were determined to not leave without her because they couldn’t face leaving her like that. Juno had extreme amounts of separation anxiety and just anxiety in general, she was very skittish.

Aspen, the Newfie, came from a extremely irresponsible “breeder”. Her mother was not yet 2yrs and had (according to her “breeder”) four previous litters. The “breeder” also wanted the pups gone at 6 weeks old. Aspen has suffered with numerous health issues that our vet says are related to bad breeding and it’s very possible that her sire was a close relative. She also has this nasty habit of eating poop and rock to the point of ruining her most of her teeth.

Odin has learned to play really nice with Saga (Freya is still deciding if she likes her)

Not 2 be fuckin weird but I think the best sound in the world is when ur pettin and rubbin a big/sturdy dog and ur suddenly compelled to do those real Firm Pats™️ and it makes that nice solid “thud thud thud” noise while the dog smiles and wags his tail real hard do y’all have any idea wtf I’m talkin about??
