Amazing goose art!!! I'm a watercolour & gouache beginner, and I was wondering if I could ask you a question? The brighter half circles on the clover's leaves - is that gouache or watercolour? They're so precise and I am always wondering in pieces like this if it's just an amazing control over the water's flow and amount or if it's a secondary layer (gouache?). Hope you'll have a nice day, whether you'll answer this or not! Loved the geese!!!!

thank u! they are a mix of careful water control & lifting the paint with a little scrubby brush. another option would be 2 use masking fluid, which i used on the geese while i painted the clovers, or scratching the paint with a palette knife/xacto blade before it dries completely (im scared of that technique cuz u have to do it at the exact right time or itll have the wrong effect. gotta practice more)

speaking of lifting paint, there are these brushes i have my eye on by a company called rosemary & co called the Eradicator Brushes & i feel like i need them for the name alone

(i used gouache on the highlights on the clovers & blades of grass in the foreground)
