Young Justice meets… Young Justice???

Klarion believes in YJ comics superiority over the cartoon. After all, the cartoon team is so boring and angsty! Taking it as a personal challenge to spice things up, he drags comic YJ into the cartoon YJ world… right in the middle of a battle.

What happens is Cartoon Dick almost crashes out over someone else wearing his costume and using his name. (It’s basically Jason taking robin all over again except Jason’s adoption hasn’t actually happened yet bc Dick is still Robin.) Meanwhile Wally is in awe of Impulse’s speed (He’s faster than Barry!) and Conner is very confused by how flamboyant his counterpart is.

Meanwhile, on the comic side of things, Tim is in panic mode but is still doing his best to keep his identity under wraps while Cissie is out for blood. (She’s been retired for months! This stupid costume shouldn’t even fit her anymore. Didn’t she get rid of it?!) Also, they keep deferring to Tim when Cassie is the leader?! Blatant sexism?!

Compared to the cartoon, comic YJ is stupidly overpowered. Impulse is faster than their world’s Flash, bc the cartoon made them a lot slower for plot points. Comic Superboy has tactile telekinesis, which is ridiculously op all on its own.

Wondergirl can fly and has super strength. Secret is a ghost that can turn into mist, while Slobo is self-regenerating with godtier super strength and an ego to match. Empress has wiccan magic and can also kick hella ass with martial arts.

Even Comic Robin (Tim Drake) could easily outmaneuver cartoon Robin. Not b/c he’s overpowered, but b/c Dick helped train him. Tim would know how to counter all of Robin’s moves. He knows all of Nightwing’s tricks. A fun-sized Dick Grayson is child’s play in comparison to a grown-up Nightwing. Plus, Tim is also the only Robin that can successfully lie to Batman’s face.

Then, there’s Arrowette. She’d be retired from hero work at that point in the timeline, obviously. But even when she left the field, she didn’t stop training. After all, she went on to win gold for archery in the olympics. Plus, she has to be a great actor if her career in Hollywood is anything to go by.

Yj headcannon that the prefix slo for slobos name changes the meaning of lobo from “He who devours your entrails and thoroughly enjoys it” to “he who sucks at devouring your entrails and only mildly enjoys it”

On one hand, Young Justice is kind of neglected by the actual superheroes that should be looking out for them in a lot of crucial ways and very much failed by the adults around them

But on the other hand Red Tornado straight up hosts a parent-teacher conference where their respective legal guardians all show up, barring Batman who’s in traffic so Nightwing fills in instead because Robin’s dad does not know he’s a vigilante which is objectively hilarious

little slobo wip bc i just found out hes the reason yj98 was cancelled??? didio hated his ass so much that he used him to cancel the whole run??? that’s crazy. imagine having so much swag a grown man cancels your existence. slobo you will never die (disintegration notwithstanding)
