My revision of Finland (*applies mainly to Hetalia but also Countryhumans)
So. Might as well out myself as a lurker and enjoyer of one of the most cursed and infamous forms of media.
(NOTE: This profile WILL be changed to include more information or changed to remove outdated information as I see fit, along with typos and other errors!)

Grand Duchy of Finland (1809-1917; under Russian rule)
Österland (lit. "Eastland"; unofficially while under Swedish rule)
Fin/Finn (*most commonly used)
Finny (*a more affectionate nickname used by Denmark; Suvi has a love-hate relationship with this)
Grumpy Forest Aunt (*by Iceland and later the other Nordics)
[Exact age unknown but was already an adult by the time Sweden found her] (*chronological age)
108-109 (*as an independent country/state)
Gender: Female | Pronouns: She/Her (*ok with They/Them)
Species: Nation Personification (*an immortal sub-species of Humans)
6th of December (*"new" birthday as a Nation Personification)
Hair Color: Pale blonde (*used to be dark brown but lightened over the course of centuries)
Eye Color: Light brown with a hint of iridescent violet and teal "overlay"(*iridescence changes depending on angle + light and is a trait which countries inhabiting the Arctic Circle possess, with the iridescent colors being reminiscent of Northern Lights and are different for all NP's whose countries inhabit the Arctic Circle)
Height: 189cm (*2nd tallest of the Nordics, with Norway closely behind her at 187cm, with Sweden being the tallest at 197cm, Denmark is 180cm and Iceland is 178cm; character heights are brought to you by "country size compared to other European countries + average height per European country + Nyx's of personal bias" a.k.a "This makes very little sense...")
What I Want Now: For my government to get its shit together and to stop running the country into the ground.
What I'm Into: A bit of everything, I suppose, from preparing for the collapse of society at the hands of the biggest world powers to trying to plant flowers without them dying right away.
What I Want to Challenge Myself to Do: ...I mean, I could try to get to know Norway, Denmark and Iceland better...?
Favorite Flower: Lily of the Valley. Though I also really like roses. And peonies. Common hepaticas and wood anemones are a welcome sight during early spring as well. But then again, clematis flowers are also really pretty...
[Note on "Blood Color": In my "Nation Personification" AU, Nation Personifications' blood isn't a normal red like humans' and other living beings' is, but rather a metallic color (like copper, silver, gold, rose-gold, etc. etc. , kind of like the Ichor of the Greek Gods) that in spite of looking like liquid metal and creating a very faint *tink* sound when droplets fall on hard surfaces, it functions and behaves mostly the exact same as normal blood which baffles scientists and Nation Personifications alike.]
Personality: Initially very quiet, stern looking and "hardy" (with self-esteem trying to scrape past bedrock into the cold, dark, desolate void) but is a lot kinder than she may look. Suvi doesn't like getting into trouble and tries to be more outspoken instead of just wall-flowering in the corner waiting for her turn to speak. As a "militarized country" bordering Russia, she takes defense and preparedness VERY seriously and can be a bit strict, and she's often the "pack mule" (or "mom friend") of the Nordics because she tends to pack everything and anything that the five of them may need at any given time, so if you need something Suvi has it with 99% certainty. And if she doesn't? Well, then it's improvisation time.
Suvi, on top of nigh non-existent self-esteem, is also very tired and irritable due to not getting enough sleep as a result of trauma and depression accumulated over her long immortal life, especially from WW2.
And while Finland as a country may be known for metal, questionable candy and weird "sports", Suvi- like a good chunk of Finns- listens to Finnish pop more than metal, side-eyes most of Finnish "sports" like the boomer that she is, and pretty much gave up salmiakki and licorice the minute that she first tasted chocolate (she still eats licorice, mind you, just not as much as one may think).
And because she gains weight quite easily Suvi works out religiously (weight-lifting, cardio, running, yoga, swimming, as many areas as she can get to) in tandem with needing to be in-shape in case of war, even though she already possess nigh superhuman strength to begin with.
Relationships (my own iterations of the characters; still WIP):
Sweden (Berit Astrid Olsson): Arguably Suvi's biggest "frenemy", and while Berit has become nicer and more reasonable in the last couple hundred years Suvi finds it extremely difficult to forgive Berit for for how the latter treated her back in the day, combined with how Sweden as a nation used to treat "Finns-before-they-were-Finns". In spite of the rather fragile yet amicable relationship between the two, they still find ways to get along most of the time, like ganging up on Mathias, Lukas and Emil in more casual hockey matches (pipolätkä a.k.a "beanie hockey"), though Lukas has managed to start "putting up a fight" in recent years which both annoys and worries them.
Estonia: Arguably Suvi's "best friend" outside of the Nordics, though she often views him as more of a younger brother or younger cousin who can be a bit too much more for her low-energy self.
Norway (Lucas Nils Eide): Someone who Suvi secretly looks up to and envies more than she'd like to admit, not necessarily as a person but as a nation (as being a nation personification and a unique individual can and often do overlap with each other, and she hasn't hung out with him one-on-one yet) as Norway is what Finland often wishes it could be, at least in Suvi's eyes. She also covets his approval the most out of the Nordics and wants to get to know him better, but because of her own non-existent self-esteem and Lucas having shown no apparent interest in wanting to get to know her in turn, Suvi has concluded that he could not care less about her, and thus their relationship- although amicable- is void of actual understanding and knowledge about each other as people and there's a rather obvious air of awkwardness between them as while Lucas may be arguably one of if not THE most self-assured Nordic in the group he's still quite awkward socially and doesn't like bothering people who seemingly want to be left alone (Suvi is one of those people).
Denmark (Mathias Lars Møller): Being a bit of a dad-friend of the group, Mathias views it as his "God given duty" to make sure that Suvi gets out of the house and socializes properly more than once a month (same applies to Emil, Lukas and Berit) and doesn't go off-grid. Because the two of them can be quite different yet quite similar they tend to butt heads every now and then. Mathias tries to get Suvi to socialize, Suvi resists which makes Mathias try until he succeeds (agreement is reached through emotional exhaustion). Suvi tries to get him to bring something that he doesn't think they need, they end up needing it which leads to Mathias feeling like a fool and Suvi to go the "I told you so" route which irritates him. Repeat until the end of time. On a lighter note, both Mathias and Suvi tend to geek out over design with Berit joining in every now and then.
Iceland (Emil Rúnar Eide; formerly Emil Rúnar Steilsson): The "chaos gremlin with abandonment issues running on caffeine and spite" to Suvi's "Grumpy Forest Aunt". Being the only republics as well as the two "youngest" countries in the Nordics and generally feeling like afterthoughts and like they're less-than (Iceland more often than not getting left out of things, with Finland getting the "But are you ACTUALLY Nordic, though?" treatment), Suvi and Emil have quite a bit to bond over. Suvi is also the only one in the group who doesn't treat Emil like he's made out of glass, which he appreciates, even though he sometimes gets "offended" that Suvi won't go out of her way to coddle him like Lukas, Mathias and Berit tend to do (as Emil has grown a bit too accustomed to the "baby treatment" in spite of not exactly liking being treated like he can't take care of himself when he literally lives on a volcanic island that could get torn in half at any moment if Mother Nature so decrees).
And because it may not come across that way (or can be difficult to see) because this is the first time I've drawn anything "properly" in AT LEAST a year, maybe even two:
The earrings that she's wearing are meant to be the silver "Kuutar" earrings from Kalevala Koru.
The shirt is meant to be a slightly more high-collar version of a "kansallispuku" (Finnish national costume) shirt and the brooch/clasp/buckle is also meant to be kansallispuku adjacent. The skirt she's wearing is also meant to be one from a kansallispuku (Finnish national costume purists are seething right now, I can feel it) though I couldn't get it to come across that way (the colors are meant to be mostly blue with a bit of red and small bits of yellow).
Her left hand is meant to be curled up in a fist, but because hands are needlessly difficult to draw it looks like a weirdly shaped blob.
The weird "texture"/coloring on her left hand and at the left side of her neck and lower face are meant tot be part of a burn-like scar spanning across the left side of her body that represents the territories Finland lost to the Soviet Union in WW2. The scar is completely numb and void of feeling, since the areas the scar represents are no longer part of Finland, which sometimes makes Suvi jolt up from sleep to check that her body parts are still there.
The "sash" that wraps around her waist and over her right shoulder is meant to mimic the blue cross in the Finnish flag and the square is meant to depict the Finnish Coat of Arms that's visible in the Finnish State Flag. The other Nordics have their own versions of this, Denmark with a white "sash", Sweden with a yellow one, Norway with a blue-white one and Iceland with a red-white one.
And while most Finns have straight hair, I decided to make Suvi's hair a bit more "curly"/wavy to mimic how the Finnish Maiden is depicted in "Hyökkäys" ("The Attack"), a painting made by Edvard Isto.
