Colson began to crudely mix the drinks as she poured some into a cup for her. “Here try this.” Colson spaced out for a moment. He was looking right through Kenna at this point, but it was just the pill clouding his mind. It was like every part of his body told him to run and do something, but his mind had yet to catch up. He shook his head as he made his own drink to sip on. “Damn that’s sweet.” He continued to drink the mixture as he held onto the edge of the counter top. “Do you think your friends will mind if I steal you away for the night?” 

kenna thanked the wolfsbane and for how she’s feeling ( a new kind of way ) that she’s never experienced. “ thanks.” taking the drink and taking a sip, it tasted like an extremely sugared drink. but not exactly in a bad way. “ it’s not too bad, got a lot of sugar.” the comment about her friends earns a laugh. “ i don’t think they’d mind, i know i wouldn’t mind.”

she grinned like a fool, pleased to see her sister so at ease. “ ooh, you’re right, maple syrup is definitely the way to go. if i hadn’t chugged the biggest coffee of my life, i’d be jonesing for some pancakes now.” cori grinned and laughed, eyes widening at her sister’s statement. “ me? a troublemaker? why i am offended by the accusation,” she said in mock exasperation, bringing her hand to the center of her chest, feigning a clutch of her non-existent pearls. snapping from the little act quickly, she chuckled a bit, flipping her hair from  her face as she looked over her sister. “ well, i’m all moved in. threw out my last box two days ago. and i even got a job.” she smirked, catching the soft skin of her bottom lip between her teeth. “ never, ever tell mama, but- i work at CLUB LUX. ” she smirked, letting her shoulders rise and fall in a shrug. “ it’s pretty fun so far, not gonna lie. i dig the atmosphere. ”

“ it’s fresh too, which is probably why it’s so expensive. but worth it, if it’s going to make them taste good. of course you did ! some homemade pancakes would be good.” ellie snorts out a laugh, at cori’s reaction to the nickname; that had been spoken fondly. “ look at you go.” which cues a proud nudge with her elbow. anyone else might have judged, when they had heard the word club lux and she merely only smiles at her sister. “ no judgement here, it’s a safe zone. and as long as you’re happy that’s all that matters to me, i would never tell mama. we’re not even on speaking terms after she lied to me for so long.. but my lips are sealed.”

       Allison had enough when the male wouldn’t stop pestering her . Telling her to have a good time with him . One of the downsides of working as a bartender was dealing with ass like him . When he went to grab her to pull her close to him, the huntress took his arm and held it behind him far enough for it to go SNAP . dislocating his shoulder and breaking his wrist .  His screams to be heard throughout the club . “—Be glad I didn’t stab you .” Allison stared at his blankly as he cried out for help before walking away , needing some space , she went to one of the secluded areas . 

“ damn.” ellie had seen it happen and had fully anticipated on getting involved, when she had seen the woman grab his arm and the loud snap. it’s enough to make her wince. as she watches the other walk away and she approaches. “ you alright ? that was pretty badass.”

Sebastian stared at the cellular device. He would be lying if the cell phone he had was a flip phone. He had spent a good chunk of time at a store going through what was easier to comprehend. “Well it’s actually quite simple. You turn it on and you press numbers and you should get the person you are trying to call.” Sebastian cleared his throat hoping that’s all she was asking for. “No water is fine by me. We can stay on land. I’m here for your amusement, little finch. What would want to do?” 

“ it’s not ! i can’t get past this.” anastasia gestures to the locked phone screen, that she couldn’t even get past to begin with. “ land it is then, i can’t trust water. and are you ? i don’t know.” the blonde witch hums in thought as she’s thinking about what they could do. “ we can go back to where i’ve been staying. we can watch a movie and order some food ? “

“ right, sorry about that. i kind of just unloaded all my problems, didn’t i ? my apologizes.” anastasia thought it was a bit weird for a bartender to be venting to another bartender. but who was she to judge ? “ i’ll take a bourbon straight up, please.”

Seeing Ellie accept the food so naturally pulled at whatever was left of Peter’s charcoal heart. He remembered bringing Talia snacks… Even when they were both put under strict diets, Peter would sneak into the kitchen and sweet talk their aunt or grandmother into snacks for him and his sister. The ghost of a smile slid onto his lips for a moment before returning to wolfing out his food. “Places you frequent or spend the night,” Peter advised. “Of course, always try to make it to a safehouse before you shift back… It’s the little things.” 

Finishing his snack, Peter looked over at Ellie again. “How are you adjusting to your senses?” he questioned.

“ that’s a good idea.” ellie genuinely hadn’t thought of it before, to put it in another place aside from her shop. now she’d need to think of safe places she could leave clothes.“ always, i can definitely see why that makes sense. and i’ll try my best.” she’s still enjoying her sandwich and chips, almost entirely done and still hungry. “ it’s different than i’m used to, but i’ve got to admit it’s nice. being able to hear and smell things from such a distance, seet things as well. i’ve noticed the change in strength too.”

“ yeah, it was one time, but i never forgave and i never forgot, ” she said, lowering her voice into a low, revering tone to mimic the scene in the hobbit she’d taken the line from. despite this, she continued to grin; being with ellie was like being home. from all their years of travel, neither their father’s or mother’s places felt like home, but the sisters made it in each other. their vows had been to be together always, and now they were reunited, things felt right again. “ well, just remember to take your shoes off at the door. we are a no-shoes apartment, young lady. and buy the good syrup- i want mrs. butterworth’s, none of that knock-off crap. ” she winked, leaning over to press a kiss to the top of her sister’s head. “ how’s it been, babygirl? everything good, since the shift? ” 

ellie laughs one of those bubbly and loud laughs, even more so at the fact cori is trying to mimic that one scene in the hobbit. which damn near almost has the redhead in hysterics. “ you did forgive me. but you never forgetting, on the other hand ? that i believe.” it’s one of those moments where she’s more than elated that the pair is reunited and together again, things finally seemed to be looking up. “ i remember, i remember. i might be a werewolf now but i’m not a complete animal, to not remember the rule of no shoes. and you got it ! we both know knock-offs aren’t nearly as good as the real deal. there’s also this fresh maple syrup i’ll grab too.” if anyone else did that or called her that they’d get a proper sock in the mouth, but this is her older sister. “ better now that you’re here. and i’m good, adjusting to my new senses and running my shop. how about you, troublemaker ? ”

His heart fell to his chest as his sight blurred with what could only be tears he refused to let fall. She had him, but wasn’t that having nothing at all? A chill ran down his spine as he remember what he had perceived as a premonition… He had seen himself die. Taking in a shaky breath, Peter shook off the sense of doom he felt looming over himself. “Forever and a day,” Peter promised. Even if he didn’t want to be, it wasn’t up to him anymore. Nature, instincts, the Universe—whatever it was, it decided Malia was someone to hold above his very own life. He had come to terms with it.

His gaze focused on her sketch, and Peter took a deep breath. “It’s beautiful,” he decided, having been left speechless for a moment.

“ i’m afraid you’re stuck with me.” malia promised.“ forever and a day.” the words are met with a vibrant smile; as she awaits for approval of her sketch. it wasn’t what she deemed to be her best work. only because it took a few minutes ( rather than hours of perfecting ) but with the level of detail you wouldn’t think that. “ you really like it ? i can’t take all credit you gave me the idea, i just ran with it and made it my own. now what do we do ? “

Sebastian raised a brow, “What about it?” It wasn’t like he was much help. Somehow he managed to operate the tv inside his house and some of the household appliances. However, most of his days he doesn’t even touch technology because he had no idea what to do with it. “Hmm well my idea of a distraction is planning my next steps or killing people. So you will have to be a lot more clear on what you want.” 

“ how do you work this thing ? “ anastasia pulls the cellular device from her pocket, ( unaware she’s holding it upside down, again ) it pulling up a lock screen with numbers. any other technology ? including microwaves weren’t as frustrating as this particular device. anyone else might have been shell shocked at hearing killing people, to her she just simply shakes her head. the grin on her face doesn’t falter. “ well.. something fun, that doesn’t involve water. i’m still not over my last encounter. but i’ll listen to both of your ideas, even if the latter isn’t quite my style.”

“You’re capable of much more,” Peter chuckled, walking over to grab two water bottles and handing one to Olivia before he went for his shirt. “We’ll do repetitions of this each session, then start you with the claws…” But there was also an anatomy and physiology class coming that he needed to prepare for. “We can close up today with a run.” Peter slid on his shirt before finishing his water in a single gulp. “Have you been meditating? It can help train your senses… We can do an exercise on the way out. ”

upon the water bottle being handed to olivia she’s chugging down the water, like a fish without water. the bottle is half gone by the time she’s done. “ i didn’t know i was capable of even that.” and she’s still giddy about it. “ a run sounds great ! i have been, yeah. here and there, practicing how to mediate.”

Sebastian peered up from his book he was reading. “What’s going on in your life that its so complicated?” He asked. “You are a powerful witch who lost everyone over 600 years ago. What’s complicated?” Sebastian set his book down on his lap. “How would you like me to distract you?” 

anastasia huffs only sebastian could see reason, even when something frustrated her. “ technology.”  ( and whatever had or was out for witches ), it’s expressed like it’s the most obvious thing. “ i don’t understand a single thing about it.” no matter how hard she tried. “ you pick as long as it’s a distraction i don’t care.”

Why did she not bring an umbrella with her. She always did this, even knowing that there was a chance of it raining. Now she was heading him while getting soaked. Sighing out loud she took a moment and ducked under a doorway. Her gaze went up to the sky as she hoped that it would stop. She only had two blocks to go which was why she was walking but still. As she looked down she spotted someone passing by and they had a big umbrella. She darted out the doorway and fell in step with the person. “Please let me share this with you.” 

olivia beams she didn’t mind at all sharing her umbrella, even if it was with a familiar face. “ i don’t mind at all. got to stay dry ! “ as one could tell by the smile on her features. “ i’m olivia by the way, i don’t think we’ve met.”

a soft, playful squawk of surprise left her lips and she laughed, shaking her head as her ash brown waves fell in her eyes. “ oh, shit, well, asking for MY advice is your first mistake. but i’m an exceptional listener, so at least you’ve got that. ” she joked, throwing her arm over her sister’s shoulders, playing with the end of her ginger locks a bit before she smiled, taking a small breath. “ oh, yeah, it’s all gonna be fun and games until you use your spare key to break into my apartment and scream the circle of life at me til i wake up. then i’ll have to throw you into the lake. ” 

“ you don’t give yourself enough credit, is that what you have me for ? “ ellie had forgotten just how much she has missed her sister. she doesn’t protest and instead she lays her head on her sisters shoulder. “ that was one time. give me a break.” she points out with her thumb, another laugh falling from her lips. “ the worst that’s going to happen is one day you’re suddenly going to wake up to all my belongings and me having moved in. or me singing hakuna matata. i somehow think you’ll survive. i’ll even make pancakes, and not the box kind.”
