“I know Mama! I’ll be good at school today and I promise I won’t bother Kazushi-sensei too much!” Nagito smiled as he waved to his mother before running full speed towards school. In hindsight running was a bad idea in the first place for him as he was very sickly. He was far too eager to get to school so that he could see his best friend. It was such an unlikely friendship, the two were almost polar opposites even still they stuck like glue. In his excitement to get to school he ended up running straight into one of the bigger kids.
Instantly Nagito bowed his head even though he had been the one to be knocked onto his rear. Why was he always the one that had to apologize to these guys? Even still he did it because he didn’t want to cause anyone any trouble.
Oh no. It was Yukari, she always tormented him and tried to come off as looking like the victim. Nagito got up quickly and bowed his head. “I’m really sorry, Hanabi-san!” he followed his apology up with a deep bow which lead to lots of laughing from her and her two friends. He just wanted to make it to school one day without having to run into these problems. A soft sigh fell from the child’s lips as he looked up seeing her sneering face made him flinch a little. He was small and frail. Why did people want to mess with him? It’s not exactly like he could defend himself. More often than not he ended up crying and what really was the point in that? Just as he started thinking of that he saw a familiar shadow.
{🏍}~ ❝ HEHEH, relax Niichan! ‘m not gonna try jumpin’ my bike over the school wall WITHOUT you watchin’ again, promise! ❞ A WIDE GRIN crossed the child’s face as he bid his brother GOODBYE at the corner towards his elementary school. Although, normally, school was something he absolutely dreaded going to ( if only for the fact he didn’t consider himself very BOOK SMART ) , a certain BEST FRIEND he recently made helped it all become bearable. While they didn’t share any classes together, and while they were polar opposites in every sense of the word, the company that they did have together was some of the best he could have ever asked for.
HEARING A COMMOTION coming from in front of the school gates, Mondo instantly raced towards the facilities, thinking that there was a brawl going on. He always enjoyed watching two people fight -- whether it be play-fighting or something far more grave. EYES GLIMMERED with MISCHIEF as he rounded the corner, eager to see what the damage was . . .
ONLY TO FROWN once he realized that it was his friend, KOMAEDA on the ground, a child older than the both of them leering over him with a taunting smirk and a vicious snarl. He wasn’t sure what had happened, yet he didn’t care -- KOMAEDA was his FRIEND and he wasn’t about to let someone hurt him. He wasn’t wanting to hit a girl, but if push came to shove, he’d make an exception to protect someone he cared about.
HEARING HIS FRIEND’S VOICE snapped his attention back to the situation at hand. He grimaced, immediately racing up ahead of the boy. With a skid, he slid into action, immediately blocking of Komaeda from the gaze of the girls looking down at him with disdain. ❝ OI! LEAVE ‘EM ALONE! ❞
