adhd, ocd, anxiety, depression. tinnitus. takes adderall.
father is a police officer/sheriff, mother died of frontotemporal dementia when he was around eleven, leading to a stunning necessity to research different sorts of cryptids/monsters/unexplained phenomena, trying his best to attribute some sort of supernatural cause to his mother dying, as opposed to something human and unstoppable. he was with her when she died. his father was at work.
5'11", 6′1″ now. still growing, ginger, some scattered freckles. he never wears sun lotion unless someone reminds him and/or forces him, and when he inevitably sunburns he looks like a cartoon crab. snip snip.
eccentric, too talkative, a “fill a silence” kind of speaker, until there’s nothing left to fill. he has an awful tendency to ramble on and steamroll any attempts at genuine conversation.

two scars of note on his left eyebrow, and a couple seemingly deliberate ones on the back of his right arm.
was carted off to to the academy after a series of fumbling solved mysteries, his father sent him away, in an odd way, to preserve some sense of his safety. simultaneously a manner in which to keep him from sneaking into the police department and to get him the proper training for. whatever supernatural entanglements he continues to throw himself into.
when he was younger he managed to learn some of the police radio codes/signals back home solely because he was interested in becoming an officer. he still sometimes utilizes them, obviously more for comedic effect than anything else. obviously. obv
polyglot, currently knows six languages (english, polish, japanese, german, spanish, and, most recently, american sign language).
tactician, prodigal problem solver. able to separate himself and his personal affairs from individual situations when necessary, in order to objectively find their solutions.

movie junkie. quotes them in casual conversation for some fucking reason.
