blue tried to isolate herself. but it was hard when you knew you couldn’t survive on your own. and being completely alone didn’t seem like a good idea either. left too much room for her mind to wander to dark places. which is why she found herself with the people in the waste lands. ‘ —– is anyone worried about venomous creatures?? ’ it was asked with genuine curiosity. ‘ like the scorpian, anopheles mosquito, fire ant and y’know — others.’ odd, that she chooses a topic that relates to her power. something she isn’t fond of.
Michiko hummed lightly, intrigued. Here was a girl who often kept to herself, and she was opening up willingly. And what does she pick to talk about? Poison. “Those creatures, their poison...” She stopped and pondered it. With a slight tilt of the head, she answered, “No. No, I’m not worried. Are you?”
dustinhttp:
“I’m sorry to ask this of you, and you have every right to say no…” He ran a hand through his hair, already feeling the need to sit down. “Could I feed on you? I’m no help to the group when I’m this WEAK.”
The girl snapped her neck to glare at the man by her side. “Excuse me? What did you say?”
echorosen:
He shifted in the chair uncomfortably, messing with the blankets sighing as he opened his eyes staring at the person who was being very noisy. “You know, it’s very rude of you to be so loud when there is someone trying to sleep here.” Echo mumbled.
Michiko stopped mid-step and looked down at what she thought had been in blanket in a chair. Upon inspection, it was definitely not just a blanket in a chair, but a human under a blanket sitting in the chair. She shrugged, apologetically. “I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there.”
verenaxgirl:
Verena looked down at her pendant. Attached to a long gold chain she carried a compass her father gave her. It was from before the collapse of civilization and it looked it. Her father gave it to her when she was just six years old as a family heirloom it came with a nice speech about how family is never hard to find. At this age was when her powers emerged she could move the compass needle with her mind and bend spoons and act as a human magnet. Verena told her parents and they kept her secret from the non-mutant-friendly society they lived in. Ever since she has carried the compass around he neck even when she ran away to be with others like herself.
She looked up from the spinning needle at the sound of footsteps. Snapping the lid closed and letting the compass fall against her chest she spoke to the approaching other. “Hi,”
Michiko gave a thin smile to the blonde, and nodded at the pendant resting against her chest. “That’s nice.”
xcvierisms:
hazy hues lingered by the horizon, flakes of dust covering their crumbled and sunburnt skin; dehydration obvious in their wrinkles. they were tired, it was written all over their harsh features. yet, it seemed as if sleep was not the antidote to their tiresome demeanor. ❛ y’know, i got sand in places sand isn’t supposed to be. places i can’t even reach myself. and now this shit ?? does it look like we got time for people spazzing out ?? i say we put ‘em out of their misery, yeah ?? be the bigger person – or whatever. ❜
Michiko looked at the boy intently, and raised a hand to wipe the dust from her forehead. She was a sensible thing if there had ever been one, and she agreed with his words. Nodding slightly, she spoke, “They’re no good to themselves, and they’re no good to the group. There might not be a way to help them.”
unstablezero:
“You make it sound like peaking would mean the end of my life as I knew it. Peaking is peaking– now going into the room with the manic and deranged.. that would be the end of my life as I knew it.. if they could catch me.”
“Peaking is peaking, just as what is smart is smart. But, do what you must.”
mutatedkennedy:
Kennedy paced the hall, back and forth, back and forth. In the past year her life had gone from bad, to worse, to somehow even more disastrous. Someone came reeling around the hallway, and she slammed into them; their shoulder against hers. Undisturbed she kept pacing, eyes down, not a word of apology as per her usual or even a sign.
Michiko turned the corner and instantly felt her shoulder come into contact with something solid. She was jerked to the side as the individual continued down the hallway, eyes to the floor. Kennedy. The name floated to the front of her mind, one she’d heard directed towards the girl, but that Michiko had never said herself. She turned to look over her shoulder, and regarded the other person thoughtfully, “What’s so interesting about the floor?”
talonhq:
talon caught the newcomer in the corner of his eye and smiled in their direction. ‘ you look a bit grim. ’
Michiko narrowed her eyes at the taller man, instinctively drawing back. “I’m afraid that’s just my face.”
Oh, honey. Goddesses don’t speak in whispers. They scream.
