@ofskeetcrs a closed starter. If he had to pick a journalist that he would share valuable information with and the times were normal, Rita Skeeter would have been Dominic’s last choice. But if the situation had been normal he wouldn’t have needed to do what he was doing, so it was oddly fitting that he picked Rita out of all people. Rita Skeeter wasn’t who people knew her to be, because she too traveled through time. However it may be, he needed someone to post his letters to the Daily Prophet and Rita, even at nineteen, knew what was news and what the people needed to hear. After the Memorial Ceremony Dominic casually strolled towards her. “Did you get a good picture of the crying daughter or do you plan to describe it in detail?” he asked, voice just loud enough for her to hear but not for those that passed by. “I’m kidding. It’s very tragic and I feel sorry for her.” Not for letting it happen, of course; he didn’t let it happen. That was the Ministry. He just did it. “I know this is ironic coming from me, but I’m surprised the Ministry let it happen and announced it the way they did. That poor girl. Everyone knows.” May as well post it in the Prophet.

rita couldn’t believe that she had the honor of being here today. she could so easily write an article on this whole ordeal — and the people would love it. they would eat it up — and they would love her for bringing it in. maybe she’d even get promoted... a dream come true. in this time, though, rita had noticed people didn’t like her all too much. well, her older self, that was. she didn’t know what her future held, but she knew that if she wanted to stay on top, she would have to find out what she did wrong.

“both.” rita said with a slight smile on her face, turning around to face the person talking to her. sure, the situation was horrible, but it did make a good cover story — and that’s what she needed most right now. “i feel sorry for her too.. but i guess i’ll have to thank someone for bringing us the news. at least now i have something to write about again.” she shrugged and looked at him. “yeah, i can’t believe they told everyone like this. they could’ve just pulled her aside — they knew what was in the note before they announced it. guess that girl has a lot to deal with right now.. do you think she’d be up for an interview after she’s calmed down a little? i think the prophet would love the inside scoop.”

alright so i couldn’t resist the urge — here’s a little bit about rita!! if you wanna plot with this lady, please let me know by liking the post or just messaging me or something. anyway, here’s the post!! 

alright so first things first. you know that saying ‘clever as the devil and twice as pretty’ ?? that’s basically rita in a nutshell

she’s 19 and currently just starting up a job at the daily prophet ( a job she’s dreamed of ever since she was a little girl )

she’s very ambitious and will do anything (and with anything i mean anything) to get to her goals

she’s very outgoing and sociable, and will never turn away a chance for a good party or adventure. this, however, has gotten herself into some trouble in her hogwarts days

a slytherin through and through if you ask me

has some close and dear friends, but never had many. she doesn’t really know when she can trust someone fully

will, however, pretend to be someone’s friend if that will mean there’s something in it for her

if there had ever been a newspaper at hogwarts, you bet your ass rita would’ve been first to join

can obviously transform into a beetle 

the girl is kind of a rebel sighs

also a Certified Drama Queen.... she loves exaggerating (as you all know tbh) 

doesn’t have her QQQ yet so all her stories are actually her coming up with snarky remarks and stuff
