I had this silly little idea, so I HAD to bring it to life
August 2022; birthday days and birthday nights.
July 2022; Lots of baking. Fruit harvests from my friends’ yards. Hours of EXU Calamity. “Fire.”
Summer’s here. June, 2022.
February was a good month. 2/2022
A string of good feelings. Freshly made mochi donuts, Felix, slushee wines, board games. The cafe playing Gymnopedie while reading and sippin a matcha latte. (July - August 2021)
Good night and good morning. First night out with friends in over a year; when a song your friends love starts playing the exact moment you get seated; made a cake for a fictional character and someone had to blow out the candles. Eating the donuts my friend got me for breakfast while listening to a record and reading. (June 18, 2021)
“We don’t normally sing happy birthday here but…”
(Staff groups around table and sings happy birthday to Kiryu with us)
First coffee shop work session in over a year. Pizza and coffee. Running into a great used bookstore. Haven’t been in this neighborhood in years and it’s a little sad to see so many old places I’ve been to boarded up and closed from the pandemic. It’s changed a little bit, and will continue to change. (June 2nd, 2021)
Long weekend in Colorado; elevation and nature walks, different scenes, small towns. Stepping stones. Remembering how to travel, how to be with family. Celebrating with a very good wedding. (May 12 - 16, 2021)
Losing a bet, going outside, walking and talking. Dungeons and Dragons jokes. Eating gelato even in chilly weather. Exploring new spots even if they lead to dead ends. Turning a bad day into a decent one. (April 23, 2021)
“Have a good day, for reals this time!”
“You mean you didn’t mean it the first time?”
Eating two-years expired ramen and watching Chungking Express with friends (March 19, 2021)
“If memories could be canned, would they have expiry dates? If so I hope they last for centuries”
Last walk of the year; always exploring new spaces (December 31st, 2020)
"The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don’t know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same."
-Marjane Satrapi

Pumpkin patch and sunflower farm; getting lost in a corn maze, constantly patting hay off my butt after sitting on the bales, hanging out with nugget, secretly petting goats for free in the corner, generally feeling sweaty in 90+ degree weather. (October 16, 2020)
Woke up early to drive to the beach; breakfast with company, petting Winston; spent two hours reading at the beach until I had to pack it up cause I had to pee. (September 12, 2020)
Looking for Perseid meteors at 2:30 am; fingers smelling like butter from making brioche; an ear full of nick drake and velvet underground, 1.5 meteors (August 12, 2020)
Neowise comet (July 19, 2020)
