IG Follower Gift - CAS Poses for Dogs

Thank you for the 200 followers! I never expected a side project (that I don't devote nearly enough time to) to get quite as much attention as it has.

The CAS poses were something I've been working on off and on for the last several months and I've finally managed to clean them up well enough to feel comfy putting them out for the public just in time for me to hit a follower milestone.  

3 CAS poses that replace the 3 trait animations I hate the most! 

All three poses replace the same traits for all life states and sizes, work well enough with Pixelpfote's Dog Height Slider, as well as working with cropped/peaked ears (CC or EA) and all docked tail lengths (CC or EA). 

I tried to make sure that longer tails and even the longest ears are still accessible and tried to take into account the super tedious aspects of painting dog coats that annoy me the most while also not obscuring any sections of the body.

HOW-TO: Like all CAS poses you'll want to use the casclockspeed 0 cheat once you've selected the trait to get them to hold it indefinitely.

➡️ Troublemaker

Simple stack, head turned slightly and tail raised out and away from the body.

➡️ Hairy 

This one looks a bit goofy but it accomplishes what I was looking for! Dropped ears are raised up to allow simpler painting of the inner ear as well as allowing you to paint that annoying af little section on the jaw that they tend to block. The tail is raised and curled over the back so that you can easily paint the underside and one front paw is raised to better access at least the front paw pads (I tried it paired with a raised back paw as well but it looked super dumb so fuck that).

This is probably my favourite!

A simple stack with a slightly raised tail but the mouth is open to allow you to paint the lips with ease!

I’m not sure if you’re still playing the Sims 4 or creating content for it, but does your functional whelping box cc still work? If not, is there cc that you’d recommend as a replacement?

Hello, hello! Unlike my previous dog CAS poses this is less about being able to access those annoyingly hard-to-reach areas for painting and is instead, simply, meant to be a decent way to take a quick screenshot in CAS!

As is the usual for CAS poses you will need to enter in the cheat code casclockspeed 0 to lock the pose in place, though I did try to make it long enough for you to be able to do that without much hassle.

Replaces the Energetic trait for both Adult Horse and Foal.

In-game version of the pose is not included atm as I feel like there are plenty of very similar stacks already available. If ya'll really want it though, lemme know!

Just a handful of story poses centred around mounting without a partner, stirrup, or mounting block. Some of them are very similar with slightly different positioning/facial expressions on the sim but otherwise, there should be a full "story" starting on the ground to being fully mounted (or not!).

Doesn’t have all accents/alt symbols! only included what we specifically needed for other things.

TS4 Cats & Dogs Default Replacement: Default Paint Mode Brush

Ah shit, here we go again.

Download, info & more under the cut.

This teeny-tiny .package will override the default 'kinda-fluffy-kinda-not' brush that is automatically selected for you when you switch to Paint Mode in CAP. This is also the brush that is used for stencils, and the original seems to be the reason why stencils turn very crunchy when you exit paint mode. Not any more, with this default replacement! See the difference here.

Bear in mind this will replace a brush, not add a new one. Stencils should default to it, but in case you can't find it, it's this brush;

Also I haven't really touched Werewolves at all but this'll probably override the default brush used there too because I think they use the same brushes in their Paint Mode.

Also-also, if you use the 'fill' button on a stencil, that shit will still turn crispier than burned eggs, so this doesn't fix that issue. Use this brush with a stencil to achieve cleaner lines and less compression.

Terms of Use

Credit/link to me if you intend to edit, replicate or otherwise use this .package as a base for your own derivative work. I did a lot of reverse-engineering in my own time of the TS4 files to understand the file structure & to get this to work, so this is the very least you can do.

Do not sell or post behind a paywall, even a timed one. This tumblr is anti-paywall to the extreme. This includes any content that might be created under Rule One. Do not do this. I will think you are an asshole. I have had issues with this in the past and my tolerance for it is absolutely zero.

Hi! Sorry to bother you, but I have been having an issue with all of your animals specifically where their left eye will only stay a weird grey and the other eye I can change only if I set them to not matching. I can't find any reason why it only happens to your creations. When I just create a random dog there is no issue.

This will happen off and on even if you've got the correct CC eyes installed.

The only way I've ever been able to fix the eyes/allow you to edit them is to:

1) fully randomise the face until the eyes fix themselves and the eye category is selectable/showing the colours properly

2) make sure you stay in the eye category and ctrl+z until you're back to how the dogs originally looked (glitched eyes & all)

3) click the little dice/randomise in the EYE category until you roll both eyes properly functioning

4) re-mold the eyes to get as close as possible to what the dogs originally looked like

I do have a quick & to sloppy video on my insta (iuno how to link it on mobile) of how to fix both the singular eye and duo glitches if that's at all helpful for people.

S2tS4 Horse & Foal Statue Conversions

i had no intentions on waiting for the new pack announcement to publish this but hey that worked out!

Included: 31 horse and 13 foal statues converted from Sims 2 Each statue has 65 coat options of varying quality.

Included are all the, relatively high quality, coat recolours I was able to locate but even in saying that there's a handful (mostly the oldest ones) that are significantly lower quality than the others - most notable where the eyes are concerned.

Not included are any of my personal recolours, mesh touchups, the Lucy foal, or the Sullfolk Drafts for those of you who have gotten the merged package off my Patreon.

To note while in-game I noticed that a couple of the coats on the foals seemed wonky but they look fine in S4S so iuno and then looked fine again when I jumped back in game, so uh yeah I'll try to fix it soonTM.
