felt like drawing something inspired by this song, since it's been resonating with me heavily recently 🩸 always a pleasure drawing clancy

I'm still very much on a break but I felt this sudden urge to paint today and maybe get over some of the stuff I've been feeling for the past month or so. I'm very unmotivated lately and usually the longer I go without drawing the bigger pressure I feel to perform with my art. So I went in the opposite direction and drew something very messy, not even polishing it too much.

I sometimes get this idea that people expect a very specific style from artists online and it makes me feel too paralyzed to explore and share more unconventional art. I'm trying to fight it and encourage myself to have more fun and experiment. Maybe it'll get me out of this loop, too. I got some oil pastels recently and I'm excited to try them out again, I think I haven't used them since middle school!

Harper and Fraser from We Are Who We Are!

I remember watching this show when it first came out and it left me kind of unsatisfied even tho I kept thinking about it a lot afterwards. I decided to rewatch it recently and my opinion has completely shifted for the better! I completely fell in love with it. I love slooow shows like these where you're just thrown into these characters' lives and get to experience a small fraction of it. It's brilliant. It's interesting how opinions about the same thing can vary depending on our mindsets and other circumstances.

Anyways, highly recommend watching it! It's sweet and weird and amazing 🧡
