All-inclusive werewolf flag that includes, but is not limited to: for
Furries,
otherkin,
otherhearted,
people who relate heavily to werewolves in some way, either symbolically, metaphorically, aesthetically, spiritually, or otherwise
literally you can just point at werewolves and go "I just think they're neat"
[ID: Two versions of a pride flag with four stripes. The first version is shaped like a square, the second is wider like a rectangle.
The flag's stripes are: Purple, dark purple, brown, and dark brown.
End ID.]
Color meanings:
Light and dark purple = magic and transformation
Light and dark brown = the blending of wolf and human
All of the colors come together to create something new.
I'll be making designs with this flag that'll eventually be posted to my Threadless store. When they are, I'll make a collection for them and I'll link that here.
This flag is public domain because I made it and I said so. This means you can use it for literally anything you want. Anything you can think of. Yes, you can make stuff with it and sell them. Yes, you can use it in your art or on the cover of the book you're writing. Anything you want, no credit or permission needed. The only thing I ask is that whenever possible, you add an image description like above when you share it online.
You can download the HD versions of this flag here on the web archive. If you've got any spare change, consider donating to them!
Cw: menstrual cycle, body horror(?) And killing(hunting)
So, I have a menstrual cycle. It's a very very painful and terrifying experience.
For my cycle, painful cramps start days before it actually starts, and when it does, it's living hell.
It feels like my guts and organs are rearranging, changing shape and pulling themselves like putty. My bones feel like they're breaking, all of them, including my teeth and toes, and being forced back into place, no sympathy or mercy. I can't move, I can't think, I can't cry for help; I can't breathe.
And my cravings run wild, my rage a tsunami, and I just want to kill my meal with my own mouth and hands to push my pain into another vessel.
I just. I feel like I'm being tortured and being forced awake while it happens, watching in horror as my body changes.
I feel like there's a shift, like I'm a fucking beast.
I hate it.
Just, if you couldn't tell, I was wondering, werewolves, if it was okay to call myself one in response to this? It's not affected by the moon, per se (tho it does get closer and closer to full moon sometimes) but it's a cycle every month that I experience, where a disease takes over my body and I'm left hung and dry, empty and awashed afterwards.
TL;DR: Is it okay to call myself a werewolf because of my period?
@ask-an-andalite (my replies were turned off so I have reply like this)
my mom and me suspect that it might be PCOS, and my therapist thinks it's endometriosis, and I plan on talking to my doctor about this soon. It's pretty terrible.
I'm just kinda hopeless tbh. I'll figure it out, talk to my doctor, hopefully soon. Thank you for replying!
so the first problem was that all of my posts turned off replies automatically (settings said otherwise) now it says I have two new messages but they won't pop up. Help???
Mythical otherkin are constantly typing stuff in the search bar like "what is a changeling" and "demon information" and "werewolves?" like the protagonist in the pilot episode of a monster of the week show

I spend a lot of time trying to figure out exactly what I am. When it comes to my kintypes, I feel an intense need to know the specifics and be "accurate," down the subspecies and coloration.
I usually do this through comparing my behaviour to animals. While this can be useful for discovering yourself, it can also be really limiting, as I don't allow myself to just be drawn to something if it doesn't "fit" logically. I often get insecure if I feel like I'm not acting how my kintypes would, so I'll spend more time than I'd like studying them, not for the joy of engaging with a kintype, but to make sure that I'm doing it "right."
The other day I was doing just that, reading an article about wolfdog personalities and behaviour, when I was struck by this paragraph:
However, as any pet owner knows, each animal has its own unique personality, and there are always exceptions to this rule.
And that made me pause. I realized that I don't have to act exactly like my kintypes in order to be one. I can have personality and behavioural traits that align with animals that aren't me. I can be a low-energy wolfdog that isn't afraid of humans. I can be a werewolf that likes being indoors.
I don't have to fit the perfect standard of my kintypes. My personality can be different, an exception. And it doesn't make me any less real.
I have been out of work for five months, and in that time have had to pay out of pocket for a mountain of medical expenses, house bills, and more.
Please check out my shop that contains my neurodivergent-forward organizational tools and journals, and consider a little shopping for yourself or someone else. I’ve made three sales since opening it last year.
Share the shop link with friends, too.
I’m still waiting for surgery, and I’m still applying to jobs every day. I’m trying.
But I need help.

You know me— you know how hard the last months have been on me and my little family. You know my work, you read my stories, you share my designs. You know me. Please help me.
I was scrolling through Pinterest, looking at masks bc I wanted to learn how to make one and design one when a video of Opal&friends popped up, and I was curious as to what the hell they were doing and yeah, kinda spiralled into researching therianthropy and now I'm here!

"what things about myself do I attribute to my kintype(s)?"
I'm fat, so the bigger stature and size gives me a lot of euphoria in regards to my bear kin, and I have sharp pointy canines that makes me go crazy with happiness for all my kins. I also have dark shaggy hair, and the messiness is super kin related for me!

"what things about me do I feel conflict with my kintypes?"
Well, again, I'm fat and that doesn't rlly fit with my smaller GSD and wolf kintypes, and I have dark hair which doesn't fit my wolfkins (white wolf and grey wolf)
also, in regards to diet, I eat wayyy more meats than veggies/fruits, so for my bear kin I don't rlly have that craving for berries and salmon (I'm repulsed by seafood so that's another thing lol)
