This is a sideblog, and I follow back from my main @grimmusings. Please direct IMs there, since it's easier for me to keep all my messages on one blog. It's also easier to start interactions with me there, where I regularly post open starters and meme prompts. For a full list of rules, see my main. Ellie is a canon character from a blip world in the comics, daughter of Steve Rogers and Sharon Carter, and other-dimension sister to Ian Rogers and James Rogers. All details vary based on verse, and I'm happy to write her into AUs and fandom crossovers. Given Ellie's homeworld, there will be dark themes present here, including fascism, brainwashing, manipulation, dubcon, sex work, and age gap shipping (because her daddy issues are visible from space, okay).

All  things  considered,  things  could  have  been  worse.  They  were  both  standing  there,  in  front  of  each  other  alive.  Really  that's  all  he's  wanted  for  a  long  time  now.  To  know  Ellie  was  okay.  "  You're  here,  "  he  began  to  say,  "  El,  I've  waited  a  long  time  to  see  you  again.  I had  hoped,  I'd  have  the  opportunity  to  see  you  again,  but  I  didn't  think  it  was  ever  going  to  happen.  "  He  was  overcome  with  emotion  in  that  moment,  and  bit  the  inside  of  his  cheek  to  stop  himself  from  letting  it  show  on  his  face.  

He  lead  her  up  the  stairs,  and  into  his  one  bedroom  apartment.  It  wasn't  much,  just  a  kitchen/living  space,  all  crammed  together,  a  small  washroom  and  a  bedroom.  The  latter  was  so  small  all  he  could  fit  was  a  double  bed,  and  a  small  dresser.  Even  then  he'd  had  to  push  the  bed  up  against  the  wall  to  make  it  work.  He  cringed,  as  he  took  in  his  surroundings.  If  he'd  known  his  long  lost  sister  was  going  to  make  an  appearance,  he  would  have  bothered  to  clean  a  little.  "  Sorry  about  the  mess,  "  he  apologised,  moving  inside  the  apartment  to  let  Ellie  through  the  front  door.  

He  walked  over  to  the  window,  that  led  out  to  the  fire  escape,  and  opened  as  far  as  it  would  go  to  let  some  fresh  air  in.  "  Are  you  tired,  do  you  want  to  rest  for  a  bit?  Or  eat  something.  I'm  not  really  a  good  cook,  but  I  can  manage  frying  a  couple  of  eggs,  or  boiling  some  pasta.  "  A  picture  of  him  and  his  dad  caught  his  eye  -  one  of  the  ones  his  mom  had  framed.  It  sat  on  the  coffee  table.  

If  only  he  could  see  them  now.  He'd  be  proud.  "  Or  if  you  want  to  talk  some  more,  we  could  do  that  too.  The  balls  in  your  court.  "  He'd  need  to  get  some  clothes,  and  other  stuff.  But  that  was  a  problem  for  later.  Right  now  the  most  important  thing  was  making  sure  Ellie  was  as  comfortable  as  possible.  Ian  knew  what  it  was  like  to  show  up  in  a  new  world,  alone.  He  wanted  to  be  there  for  her.

"I'm here," she confirmed, a small but genuine smile blooming on her face. It had been a long time coming. She wasn't sure what she'd been hoping for. That he would move on with his life? That he would miss her? They'd only known each other for such a short time, but to Ellie, those hours had been life-changing. She had a brother. She wasn't alone in the multiverse, even with her parents gone. Abruptly, she moved forward to hug him, eyes wet with tears she refused to shed.

"I've been trying to get to you all this time. Sorry it took so long." She huffed a quiet laugh, discreetly wiping her eyes on her sleeve as she stepped back. It turned out it was hard to fix an interdimensional elevator, even surrounded by people who knew what they were doing. Ellie had picked up a few skills in the process, but still, she knew she didn't really understand it. It worked, though, and that was what mattered.

"I lived in literal sewers for most of my life. This is amazing," she assured him, feeling somehow both awkward and comfortable in the confined space. She felt safer there with the walls pressing in. Open spaces made her anxious. In Ultron's decimated world, they were guaranteed trouble, no possibility for hiding or cover. Her gaze followed his to the photo and quickly flicked away. She hoped that meant he'd found his dad, but that didn't make it any easier to see.

She twisted a strand of long blonde hair around her finger, suddenly unsure how to proceed. She'd spent all this time looking for Ian, but she'd never really imagined what she might say to him when she found him, if she ever found him at all. "I could eat. Anything I can do to help?" She sensed they'd both feel better with a task. She did want to talk more though, a burning curiosity welling in her about everything that had happened since they last saw each other.

sliding the wad of cash between her cleavage while his other hand held his glass half full of whiskey. taking a sip when eyeing her with mischief, intrigue and lust. denver had managed to get her alone in one of the private rooms of the underground club as he couldn't believe they were here working and on their first night too. the older male didn't want anyone else or any of his work colleagues at the club to have her requesting her to be with him yet his motive was twisted as he couldn't help but grow curious about the two of them being intimate even if it was wrong. " that should be enough to keep your mouth shut but not too tight of course. " he snickered and then handed her his glass to take. " can't have you telling anyone about this place or about what you saw, understood? " he would state firmly as he was in a way looking out for her. " get me a new one and do me a favor loosen up a little have one yourself might take the edge off. " instructing her to fetch him a drink and have a drink herself. denver flashed her a smirk. eyes would be drawn towards her cleavage eager to get her naked.

It had been a little over a year since her father's death, and to say Ellie wasn't handling it well was an understatement. This new job was a testament to that, a fuck you to everyone who expected her to be Captain Rogers's perfect, well-mannered daughter even when he was gone, to everyone who wouldn't let her grieve the most important person in her life. Denver was the last person she'd expected to see at the club. He’d worked with them a few years ago to investigate her mother's disappearance. (It turned out she'd run off with their architect. No great mystery.) Ellie couldn't decide if she was more nervous or less with someone she knew.

She smiled her best flirty smile when he slipped the bills into her top, making a show of tucking them a little deeper into her cleavage, her breasts swelling as she inhaled. "I can keep a secret, detective." She took the glass and sauntered away to refill it, putting a little extra sway into her hips, the heels helping her put on a show. She wasn’t supposed to drink upstairs when she was dancing, but the blanket rule that superseded that one was to do whatever they asked. Keeping the clients happy was priority. She poured two fingers of whiskey into each glass and returned with them, handing one over. Her free hand wrapped around his bicep, squeezing gently and leaning into him a little. "Why don't you get comfortable? I bet you've been on your feet all day."

Anyone could hear the Winter Soldier coming around the HYDRA headquarters. It was a steady beat of his boots against the floor, a determined march towards the only place he wanted to be in whenever he was not assigned elsewhere. His own personal quarters was a space reserved only for him inbetween missions. That's where he expected to see her. That's where she was going to be waiting on him.

As he entered the room, his cold eyes scanned the young woman. She was just where he expected her to be and he made no secret of the fact that he always enjoyed her being on her knees, waiting on him. That was her place. Instead of speaking, he gestured with his hand for her to get up and move to the closest surface. Sometimes, all it took was his finger to give his orders. "Has anyone else touched you?" The soldier asked as he began to loosen up his straps. "I want names." She was his possession and he would kill anyone who touched her without his permission. She knew that.

Ellie had never known anything but HYDRA. She had no true parents, Zola having created her from Captain America's DNA. He must not have been satisfied with the results because he'd never put her in the field. Instead, she was given to the Winter Soldier as a gift, her master and protector. He kept her safe there, kept the rest of the agents from getting any ideas about her--though some of them had still tried in the past and been made example of--and she was devoted to him.

Unlike most, the familiar sound of his footsteps didn't fill her with fear but with happy anticipation. She immediately knelt in her usual spot, knowing he liked her submissive and waiting for him. Her gaze was watchful and adoring, and she moved as soon as he gestured, perching on the edge of the table. "Nobody. They're too afraid of you after last time." She waited quietly while he worked at the straps, her feet swinging back and forth a little where they didn't quite reach the floor. She was at ease when he was there, waiting and attentive, wanting to please him.

There were things that only Anya and Jamie would ever be able to understand. Ellie was pretty sure there was no one else like them in the entire world. Children of super soldiers, with some of their gifts, and the weight of their legacy even at the end of the world. Their dads were indispensable to the survival of the towns. It was a lot to live up to and to live with. Ellie worshipped her father. She'd be lucky to grow up just like him.

"I really want to see a castle," she admitted with a laugh. "They have them overseas… I guess that's impossible now." She remembered being on planes when she was younger, mostly traveling with Steve for missions once her mom was gone and it was just them. He couldn't always take her with him, but she'd always had Bucky and Natasha, Anya and Jamie, their chosen family. That they would have conspired to build them the most epic tree house in the history of tree houses, she didn't doubt for a second.

"It would make a good cache… Just in case." She nodded, eyes flicking around the small space. She had Steve's unerring sense of direction and was confident she could find it again. Ellie knew they were supposed to bring all the supplies back to Alexandria, but the survivor in her couldn't resist hiding little stores of weapons and non-perishables in the area around the town. Her dad knew and didn't discourage it. They were meeting places in case the towns ever got scattered, so they'd be able to find each other again.

"  it'd  make  a  GREAT  cache!  most  people  wouldn't  even  try  climbing  up  here.  "    luckily  for  them.  this  was  NOTHING  in  comparison  to  some  of  the  things  in  the  world  now.  even  a  fall  from  this  height  wouldn't  hurt  them  too  bad  at  all.  might  be  a  bit  sore  afterwards , but  the  risk  of  a  BROKEN  BACK  after  falling  out  of  a  tree  this  high.  there  were  definitely  benefits  even  in  the  world  of  the  dead  to  being  the  child  of  super  soldiers.

taking  a  chance  to  look  around  the  treehouse , she  could  see  SIGNS  that  at  some  point ... this  had  served  as  a  home  for  someone.  it  was  a  smart  move.  up  in  the  tree's  you  didn't  have  to  WORRY  so  much  about  the  biters , and  as  long  as  you  didn't  fall , or  PEOPLE  didn't  find  you ... it  was  among  the  safest  place  one  could  be  out  here.  upon  CLOSER  inspection , it  looked  like  more  than  one  person  had  called  this  place  home  for  a  time.  drawings , and  a  stack  of  what  looked  like  love  notes  were  attached  to  the  wall  for  decoration , and  when  she  looked  to  the  head  of  the  mattress  they  sat  on , two  worn  out  teddy  bears  holding  one  another.  and  old  valentines  day  gift  sitting  where  the  pillows  were.

the  people  who  lived  her  OBVIOUSLY  loved  one  another.  or  perhaps ... it  had  started  as  two  people , only  for  one  to  them  to  be  lost  to  the  biters.  regardless , there  was  an  OBVIOUS  history  there , something  that  would  have  been  forgotten  in  this  treehouse  had  they  not  managed  to  find  this  place.    "  hey , check  this  out.  "    she  reached  for  the  bears , holding  them  in  her  hands  to  get  a  better  look , before  handing  it  to  ellie.    "  hey!  wasn't  your  birthday  a  couple  weeks  back?  never  COULD  find  something  so ... happy  birthday.  "

"They probably wouldn't even see it. It's pretty hidden unless you're right on top of it." The plantlife had grown around it, providing the perfect camouflage, but they'd been trained to see things other people didn't. It was a little precarious climbing up too, some of the boards rotting away, but that was no obstacle for them. Unless she was training with her dad or Anya, there were few places anymore where Ellie truly got to test her skills.

Her gaze was following Anya's around the treehouse, and she shifted to skim over some of the notes, murmuring some of the lines of poetry under her breath. "Oh, that's lovely…" The whole place was a love letter now that she was looking more closely. She wondered if the world had always been like that, like you were walking into the middle of a story everywhere you went, or if it was just like that now because all of them had been stopped and preserved, as though the characters had just stepped off stage for a moment. That was the best case scenario. The worst was when their bodies still lingered, alive but not, going through the motions.

"I wonder what happened to them… Maybe they found somewhere safe." It wasn't likely. Nobody just left all their most treasured possessions like this. But she was taking the lack of walkers as a good sign. She gave a little laugh as she reached for the bear, tweaking its nose. She tucked it into her lap, reaching for the other to give to Anya. "Okay, but only if you take this one. They look like a matched set. It would be sad to split them up." She cuddled the bear, stroking its fur, still soft despite its obvious age.

"Did you ever feel that way about someone? Before the outbreak? Or after, I guess. Like you wanted to write them love notes and be with them forever?" It seemed like a foreign concept in their current world, though Ellie thought she might be in the minority there. People hooked up all the time in the apocalypse, like they didn't have other priorities like survival. It was baffling.

May I have a starter for kara?

Ellie had barely kept it together watching Andy sweep Kara out of the club the other night. Or maybe it was Kara who did the sweeping. It was hard to tell with those two. The tension was always thick enough to cut with a butter knife, and she was ecstatic they'd finally decided to do something about it. She'd been as respectful as she could be giving her best friend the weekend with her new partner without interference, other than the occasional check-in text to make sure she was okay. They'd always looked out for each other and, family friend or not, she would eviscerate Andrew Barber if he ever hurt her bff.

The fact that it was sort of a secret, at least from Tony, was the only thing keeping her quiet when she came over. That put her in a bit of a weird position. Ellie didn't like lying to him any more than she suspected Kara and Andy did, but this wasn't her secret to tell. Kara had been her best friend far longer than Tony had been her lover. She reasoned that as long as he didn't ask her directly, then it wasn't completely a lie. Not that he had any room to be critical, since he was also sleeping with someone half his age, but she had a feeling it was a different story when it came to Kara. Ellie didn't like to imagine having that conversation with her own dad, had he still been alive.

Her white and gold bikini showed off her tan, long blonde hair in loose waves while they sat by the pool flipping through magazines. She was practically twitching with impatience by the time they finally watched Tony's car drive away, and then she dove onto Kara's beach chair with an excited squeal. "Tell me everything! I need details, seriously, I'm dying. Tell me you did more than just have dinner and talk." Not that there was anything wrong with that, but they hadn't looked much in a talking mood when they left the club.
