Dear Kishimoto,

Why do you insist on writing Sakura so one-dimensionally when it comes to Sasuke? Her love confession in 693 strips away any development you gave her, reducing her down to that love sick 12 year old. You never even gave us a good glimpse into why she feels so strongly and why she continues to feel so strongly. It's as if your entire thought process is "Girl character. Hmm. Okay, she's in love. The end."And having Kakashi say the only thing you need a reason behind feelings for is hatred is a cop out.

It's as if you don't believe that women are people capable of complex emotions and relationships. It all begins and end with romance.

The sad part is that you've (but most the anime producers) shown that Sakura can be amazing, just not in the presence of the characters the narrative gives a fuck about (i.e. Naruto and Sasuke). In the end, the story has always been about Naruto and Sasuke. I don't even know why you bothered to create Sakura, besides the fact that they needed a third team mate.

Moments like these make me want to shake you.
