The Pain Itself is the Reason Why
Is that a cut on your face, or part of your eye?
The gash weaves down as if you cry.
The pain itself is the reason why.

It hurt so, so much. Parsonuss had never felt this much pain. Was this how those in the divine dungeons felt? A fitting punishment for them, but not for her. Her hair was slashed, hundreds of years growing it out gone to waste. Her wings were cut, something she spent hours making beautiful everyday. Her face was battered, bruised, and broken. She could never hope to fix it! Her was beauty shattered forever. She could only weep, throwing herself into the pit to escape.

Falling into the beasts, they immediately began feasting upon her. She couldn't see, she could only yell silently. She grabbed everything she could. She could feel a presence unlike the other, one that seemed kind. It spoke to her, convincing her. Wouldn't you like to vanish, it said. I can carve your way out of here, it said. I can give you power again, it said. You only need to trade something small, it said. She accepted it, drowned in pain.

She could feel her mouth sewing shut. She panicked. She panicked. Creator, it hurt so much. It was necessary, she told herself. It's so I'll live, she told herself. I'll fix it later, she told herself. The bonding complete, she knew something now. Her new "friend", their name was Valentine. Valentine dissolves her into the shadows, appearing in a random cave in OSHA.

Avit goes through the rift and goes misty, before solidifying into three smaller versions of themself.
Amy walks through the rift, emerging from the other side resembling someone who could easily be a relative of Tanager.
They find themselves in an alleyway in the middle of an underground city. were anyone to have followed them, they would have ended up on the other side of the dead end building, an alley straight to the biggest footpath in the city.

[offy had followed the pair out of curiosity, being bored and wanting to test out their new camouflage abilities. the two were acting sneaky anyways- offy deserved to be nosy. they enter the rift without hesitation, but come to a stop when they're through.]

Offy sees themself stuck in an alley in the middle of an underground city, with the two they followed out of sight.
[Silver just... Observes, as a fly on the wall, as it were. Seeing what Offy might decide to do now that they're lost. Maybe she should help...? She doesn't usually, but she feels the odd inclination to do so this time.]
[offy whimpers and creeps out of the alleyway, unsure. they sniff around, trying to catch the trail.]
They don't go long before being spotted by a group of people, surrounding someone who looks like your standard wizard.
