Wide-eyed? Yes, he was, and also very impressed. What kind of person can eat an oyster whole like that without it getting lodged in their throat? More importantly, what kind of person is willing to skip out on the taste that way? They didn't even seem slightly bothered by their method either!

"Don't you think it would have been better if you opened it?"

That's one official-looking lady over there. An angel, perhaps? That's what she looked like. It brought to mind the question: What is she doing here of all places, and not in some fancy place like a castle or something?

"Hey, miss, are ya looking for something? If you are, I can help you find it."

Yikes, that's a fairly nasty coughing fit that girl's having over there. Leave it up to Kou to scurry a few feet away from her, wearing a concerned expression for the stranger. Was she sick? She shouldn't be here then.

"Are you alright, miss?"

"Are you lost?" Rude? Kou? No, no, of course not, but he was rather blunt with his words at times like these. Looking the other over, he had clearly made some assumptions. "'Cause you look like a cat and I didn't think cats like to be near water."

Hearing the footsteps of the otter, she turned around curiously. She had gotten lost and went a bit too far south when swimming, so the little seal was a bit panicky at the moment. But the otter seemed nice, so she wouldn’t run away just yet.

”Uuu..I’m lost..I was..looking for my mama..”

That made sense. It wouldn't be likely that a pup like her could stray too far from her mother without meeting a terrible end. The question was: How far did she swim away? Ah, well. He'd let a reassuring smile tug at the corner of his lips and offer his best. Otters are known for caring for pups even if they aren't theirs- although typically it's pups of their own species.

"Don't worry. I'll help you find her, okay?"

         █▓▒ ⊰ ✰ ⊱ ↠ Walking nearby as to what the otter was doing, she wasn’t quick enough to move out the way of the water that now soaked her clothes. Oh dear..How would she even get dry? Ah, magic could work!  Just as she was about to cast the spell, she could hear the male’s voice. Lips curling up into a meek smile as she shook her head.

             ⊰ ✰ ⊱ ↠ “It’s fine, I don’t really mind it.” Cue her casting the spell now.

Ah, what a relief that she seemed so friendly. Many witches would not have forgiven him so quickly, and they may put a mean spell on him or something along those lines. At the mention of spells, the one she chose to use quickly replaced that apologetic smile of his with an impressed one. It wasn't overly surprising, but to one who spent so much time caring for his own fur due to the water, it was neat to see her dry off so quickly.

"Hey, that's really cool! I wish I could do something like that."

Kou has seen people do some odd things, but he's never seen a demon picking up bugs before. What on Earth was she doing that for? As far as he was aware, that wasn't a normal thing for the species. Although, who understands demons anyway?

"Hey, what are you doing over there, miss?"

" … I didn’t think that Sea Otters took on humanoid forms. I thought they were animals on the planet earth. " And here we have a good example of the fact that ‘sinistar is far too old’, for they actually had no clue about newer things. It was genuinely confusing to them to see something too new.     But nonetheless there was an offer of food    and they didn’t feel like explaining the spaceship thing     for the fifteenth time today.       “ I— yes. Give me this Oyster. ”

"Humans are animals too, ya know. And a lot of us have more than one form. I have two!"

It seemed strange having to explain this, but then again, he was still speaking to the person who had claimed to be a 'spaceship'. Kou was still unsure what exactly that meant, but he wouldn't question it. He would just reach into his pocket and withdraw an oyster for the other.

"I just got some on a dive so they're fresh. You need a rock to open them, though. I'll let you borrow mine if you don't lose it."

Sea otters don't make the best snacks, as most every animal knows. Perhaps that tidbit is what gives Kou a bit too much courage. So much, that is, that he'd stand close enough to an orca to notice one thing.

"Orcas are tall."

" You were the one being impolite wit your ‘staring’. That is what humans would consider ‘impolite’ right… ? Are you even human? Nonetheless… ” They continued to stare at the other, a smile on their face, and yet-               “ I am Sinistar. I am a Spaceship. I’m also hungry. ”

"What? No, I'm a sea otter! There's a big difference."

They were getting one confused look from Kou, who had never heard of a space ship before. A space ship? A ship in space? Weird.

"I don't know what you're talking about, but if you're hungry, do you want an oyster?"

Should he tell her? Perhaps he should let her know. Although, it would be pretty strange if she wasn't already aware. Ah, well, he'd just go for it.

"Miss, you've got a little something on your face."

"Ah?"

That’s an odd thing to be greeted with, but at least it isn’t bad! Probably. Whatever intent the otter had, Wadanohara still twists around, trying to get a good look at her hair.

"It really is long, isn’t it? I guess I need to get a haircut…"

"Huh? But why?"

He gave a confused tilt of his head, but of course he wouldn't understand. Long hair takes a lot of care, which most people aren't willing to give. He, however, was a sea otter, and spent hours caring for his fur to maintain its value.

"Having a lot of hair is useful."

That's odd, isn't it? This species of seal all the way out here. The environment was hardly ideal for the little one. Hoping to help, Kou cautiously approached the pup, putting on a friendly smile.

"Hey there. What're you doing out here by yourself?"

" … ” There was no hesitation closing the distance at all to the point it was horrifying. It didn’t take them long to speak, cape flowing behind them from how quickly they moved up to the other-

" It’s rude to stare, isn’t that what people say? ”

Although he wasn't the type to scare easily, the other had startled Kou enough to make him take a step back in surprise. It didn't help that the stranger was nearly twice his size. They were huge!

"Yipes! You trying to scare a guy? Take it easy!"

Jumping out of shallow water and onto the shore after a dive? That was nothing new. Nor was shaking his fur free from the weight of some water either. Now, finding a witch girl nearby just afterwards, wet from his actions- that was a different story, and so it was just a moment before a small boy took the otter's place.

"...Oops. Sorry about that, miss."

Oh? Someone over there looks friendly enough to be his next playmate. She was a demon, wasn't she? Well, she looked like a nice enough one that Kou decided to toss the ball he was playing with out of the water and let it roll towards her to get her attention.

That is one mean-looking... guy? Girl? They looked like they could go either way, really. What was more important was that he couldn't recognize their species off the bat either. Ah, perhaps he should watch from a distance until he was sure about this one.
