Gaz lost a bet with Soap and has to do recruit training for a week..

kinda inspired by this fantastic art by @ottervii !!

thinking about Gaz who you don't really know, but go to the same gym as. he's there almost every night, usually using the treadmills or training with weights. it doesn't matter what equipment he uses - you watch him anyway.

your favourite time of year becomes summer, because he always works out topless when it gets warm. is it creepy to watch him, to follow the sweat beading down his abs and the way his muscles ripple with each movement? maybe, but that doesn't stop you.

you think he doesn't notice you, but he does. he's a soldier, after all. he's trained to notice things.

and maybe because he knows you're watching, he emphasises some of his actions a little more than necessary. stretching slower so you can see the lines of his body. making more noise when he lifts weights, making sure you can hear him grunting. putting on his shirt slowly so you can savour the sight of him for longer.

sometimes it's just too much. you feel your stomach tighten and your blood heating up, your skin tingling with desire. Gaz watches you sneak off to the showers, knowing that you're going to 'cool off'.

maybe he should join you…

Lowk I wanted to ask I had a really cool fic idea to write for Kyle but I'm also afraid that it won't get much attention since it's an underrated character (I have never written for him before but always wanted to) . The fic idea also has the potential to go further as a series if I maintain my motivation (lol)

I know you draw for him so I just wanted your opinion on whether I should go ahead and do that (I have no one who knows this situation sooo...)

Hi shycloudkitty, thank you for the ask - what an honor to have cold pillows on both sides.

I understand the fear of wondering whether something will get attention or not, especially when you’re putting your time, effort, and heart into creating something.

But in my opinion, if you love Gaz and you have an idea for him, that alone is a good enough reason to write your fic.

I don’t think numbers, notes, or predicted engagement should be what decides whether an idea is worth pursuing or not. Creating for a character should come from love first - because at the end of the day, if the love is there, the work already has a reason to exist.

Of course, getting attention is nice. There’s nothing wrong with wanting something you created to be seen by others. But attention should be a plus, not the motivation.

So to answer your ask: yes, I think you should do it.

Do it with love. Do it for love. Do it in love.
