Talking about things that I seek in a friendship, there's nothing that I could take granted for but their time, but it doesn't mean that it's something that obligatory— No. Things don't work that way in friendship. You may seek something but it doesn't mean they required to do so for you to stay as your friend, by saying that if I may being honest with you, I refuse to seek something that might make me hope for something that would lead me to a disappointment just because they can't afford to do that at the moment, but things happened yknow. I don't count this as something I seek from them but as long as they were there when I'm at the lowest point of my life, I would be grateful, and I wouldn't ask for more— loyalty it is, something that nobody could pay for, something that not every single one of them who breath the same air with us could feel the same thing. It's a blessing to have friend who would stick by your side, in a meaning, they know where to stand in every situation that happened in your life, which somehow sounds impossible but I bet that some people are lucky enough to have such bestfriend(s).
As a relationship between human being, it's normal to know about the give and take rules, when you implicitly seek something from someone then there should be something you offer in return, and NO it's also not an obligatory, and thing that I'd offer for them is my SANITY which means, I sanely say that I would give them my all as long as it's for their good sake, I could be a good friend to talk with, a therapist to cry on, a sibling to give some support and of course love that never stops, I also would draw a smile on my face to make them laugh when they need it, told you I offer them my sanity when I even barely get hold of it.
Friendship is something that more complicated than anything, it's more apa ya sakral? something that more valuable than some people might seen in surface. I'll always cherish all these beautiful feelings I've been sharing with my bestfriends, it's all true— even the jealousy that sometimes come up, the transparancy between each other just like a diamond that shines brighter when they are with another, they are all beautiful. As you amazingly said, bestfriends are family you choose and one hundred percent agree with the statement karena pengertian dari keluarga itu sendiri sangat luas untuk hanya mengartikan keluarga sebatas hubungan darah saja, emotionally relatable would be one of the definition that made you and certain someone as family and that's what bestfriends are.
