All settled in to my place. I think that this might call for a housewarming party.
Sure! I’ll make sure to try and find some wild parties to get some stories from to tell you.
You know how much I love a good party story. Make sure to do that. But don't get too attached to any of the men who will inevitably try to get with you.
It’s just over a week now until I go back to Ohio to see my parents and then head off to L.A. to see my brother. It barely seems like any time at all has passed since I was complaining about having to sort all of this out — and now I’m actually looking forward to it.
Have fun, Blaine. Maybe we can get drinks when you get back?
Cut backs at one of the clubs I work at
Of course I can dance. I’m coming up to my senior year at NYADA - majoring in music and dance. So yeah, I’m pretty sure I can handle some real dancing.
Perfect. I'll let him know.
Cut backs at one of the clubs I work at
Like he’d ever have a chance to be a stripper - no-one is paying to see all that shaking in their face. If your friends place is legit…then yeah, thanks, a word in would be good.
Alright, I'll put a good word in. Can you dance? That'll give you brownie points with him. It's real dancing too, no trashy shit.
Cut backs at one of the clubs I work at
Is that a strip club you’re talking about? I’m already getting super pissed at the twink thinking he can call me out on that still.
No, it's not a strip club. The waitresses have to wear tight black dresses, but it's not a strip club. The pay is really good too; it's kind of high class. And if by twink you mean Sebastian, then I don't really know what he did, but I apologize. He's kind of an asshole. Or maybe he's upset that his stripper career never took off.
Cut backs at one of the clubs I work at
I haven’t been there that long and I still have the other club but it’s still gonna make things super fucking tight with my bills. I guess I’ll be looking for something else or calling that one dude up about his recording studio. I’m pretty sure he just wants to tap all of this but if it’s more - then it could be something good for me. Anyway, I gotta see some people and eat some food.
I could help you out. One of my friends from law school has a club that he owns, and he owes me a favor. I could get you an interview.
I just put an offer down on a new apartment.
Don’t worry. I got your back, man. Your brother’s a cool guy, but every sibling knows there’s a limit to how long you can live together. Generally, 18+ and no longer living with parents are my threshold. A man needs his own space! That’s science — probably.
Well, he was helping me out while I got back on my feet. And now that I'm standing firm it was time to spread my wings and leave Sebastian's loud nest. That was a dumb analogy, but you get the picture.
I just put an offer down on a new apartment.
Is this your first flat? Getting your first apartment, or flat, or whatever it may be is amazing. You’ll never forget it.
No, it's not. But I'm still super excited. I mean, I had a flat in London, but it's different than New York. And I'm not going to get kicked out of this one.
I just put an offer down on a new apartment.
Yikes! I hope you get it too. Living with an engaged couple must be a nightmare.
Finally! Someone who understands. Yes, it is pretty much awful. I mean, they're really good to me and stuff, but all of the lovey dovey shit and the loud sex is too much for me.
onlyblainers said: I think the best part of moving out is being able to have your own space and your own schedule, seeing as you don’t have to work around other people. Whereabouts are you hoping to move to?
It's in Manhattan, but it's on the Upper West Side instead of the Upper East Side, like Sebastian's. I personally love it there.
I just put an offer down on a new apartment.
Now I can quit living with my brother and Kurt and finally get out on my own. That way I can have some fun. I mean, Kurt and Sebby have been totally hospitable, but I'm so excited for this new flat. It's not as big as Sebastian's, but I love it. Now let's just hope that I get it!
Those emails for college work experience placement came through the other day;
I know things between Sebastian and your parents are … different than this situation, but are you saying that if I choose an option that he didn’t like, but he didn’t tell me that he wasn’t completely onboard with it that he wouldn’t even talkto me? How do I know what the right decision to make even is then? I could end up deciding to take a placement that could have a great impact on my career; but it wouldn’t even be worth a thing if I was being ignored by your brother throughout it.
You say that I should make the right decision for me and what I want, but that’s really difficult to do when two things I want the most are your brothers happiness, and to be able to make something of myself and to actually feel like I’ve achieved something in the way that my college work does. I am talking to him about it, of course I am — I wouldn’t even think of making such a decision without his input, but if he doesn’t tell me how he really feels and I decide to pick something for myself that he then doesn’t like even after trying to make sure it was something he was alright with — well I’d feel really shitty about it.
I think this whole decision has just been even more difficult to think of what the right thing to do is.
I'm not saying that, hon. I don't think he could go a day without talking to you, let alone a few months. All I'm saying is that Sebastian is used to hiding his anger and he hates change. He'll support you, but that doesn't mean he'll like it. You just can't think about that. I know you want his opinion to matter, but in the end, it doesn't. If you really think that he'd be stupid enough to break up with you over this then fine, stay here. But if you know what you want and he tries that whole passive aggressive thing, kick his ass.
Those emails for college work experience placement came through the other day;
You don’t think that Sebastian would really do that, do you? I mean, he might not be completely overjoyed with whatever decision I made at the end … but I wouldn’t have thought he’d say no specifically. Would he? He’s always been incredibly supportive about things in the past, even when I was struggling with finding a job before I got the one I have now.
Why don't you talk to him and find out. He may say he's supportive, but you know how Sebby is. He'll say one thing and never really reveal what he's thinking. I'm not trying to butt in or anything, I'm just warning you on what might be coming. When we moved from Paris to Ohio he didn't speak to either of my parents for at least two months.
Those emails for college work experience placement came through the other day;
I’m not even sure what I want to do about it all just yet, honestly. I’d sort of been expecting that if I had to make a decision between any of them, it would have ended up being between the two New York options. So this is … a surprise.
I don’t want to rush into a decision. There’s so many things I need to look into and consider before I respond to the email that it would be stupid for me to just make a decision without doing that research while I have the opportunity. I’m capable of making my own decision, of course I am — but I still want to keep in mind that your brothers thoughts are important too.
Well, now that you have to make a decision between one that's far away and one that's here...make the right choice for you. I know his thoughts are important to you, but don't regret not doing what you want just because some guy told you not to.
Those emails for college work experience placement came through the other day;
I — thank you, Patrick. I guess they are in a way, but it’s something that my college does every year for those in their final year. The places they offer are always good though, thanks to the connections and references that the college has built up over the years. I managed to get a place at both Ted Baker in the city and Prada. But the Prada one’s in Italy, so I’m going to take some time to really think about which one out of the two would be most beneficial for the sort of thing I want to do when I graduate, I suppose.
You know what? I'm not even gonna say a word about this. You choose on your own, and don't you dare let my stupid brother get in the way of you choosing what you want. If there's anything you love almost as much as him, it's your career.
Those emails for college work experience placement came through the other day;
I managed to get accepted for two out of the three I applied for in the end, which was a bit of a surprise considering I thought I’d only get one if I was in any way lucky, what with how many people some to be applying this year. Now the problem is trying to make a decision between the two for which I take in time for the deadline to respond in August, and I don’t think it’s going to be particularly easy choosing between either.
I think this might be something worth doing a little bit more research into somehow.
Where did you get accepted, Kurt? Sounds like a big freaking deal. I hope the decision goes okay.
