5/9/22: Torment
Narrator: Lonely Wizard
You: None
Pain, death, helplessness
all punishments for something
You cannot weigh one over the other
Death is final, but it ends quickly
Pain is active suffering forever
Helplessness is still everywhere
But the worst punishment of all
is nothing
Nothing anywhere forever
I try to go through every punishment I could have had
Writing poems about this to entertain myself
but it's not enough
I can't fight away the emptiness
I can't feel anything
I don't know anyrhing
I'm not anyone
I'm gone
I'm numb
I'm blind
I'm deaf
I need stimulation
Any fate would be better than this
I
need
stimulation
5/8/22: Leave Me Alone
Narrator: P03
You: Leshy
Why can't you just leave me alone
We've been apart for so long until now
and I'm already so sick of you
You have no idea
of the pain you put me through
of what you did to all of us
We finally got back together
and all you can do is torture
for your sick game of cards
Right now
I just need
some time alone
5/7/22: Going Further
Narrator: Luke
You: None
My investigation was cut short
Information pierced by a burning hole
Losing everything I thought I understood
through an open wound
Somehow they can help
Picking up where I left off
I can't do anything, but they can
They're going further
Finding out more than I ever could have
Reading and writing everything they need to know
I'm gone
I'm lost
But they aren't
Request from anonymous: "Poem request: luke seeing arg lore hunters continue the search for answers from where he had to leave it"
5/6/22: Extension
Narrator: Leshy
You: Player (You)
I know this
That's me
That's all of us
That's our world
You wrote a story
Drew art for us
Created more
Cards can be added
Removed, or changed
Your participation in this discussion is beautiful
Talking with people who know me just as you do
Playing with other people
That's me
That's an extension of me
You create as much content as I do
Thank you for extending me
Thank you for allowing me to persist
My world isn't yours
But we're still close
5/5/22: Fragments Everywhere
Narrator: Magnificus
You: None
How much of this world can be complete
when it has not reached its full potential
What is a game when it's not put together
Like a tree's leaves falling
they're all too separate
we are not together
Like a torn canvas
like a shattered mirror
like a sunken bridge
The pieces are far apart
Scattered everywhere
But they can be put together
5/4/22: Replace
Narrator: Kaycee
You: None
I'm trying to uncover secrets
all the while creating more
Figuring out the game
while making it more complex
Every time I solve a mystery
a new one replaces it
as I leave clues for whoever tries after me
A dead man
and a deck of cards
becomes an artifact
then a game
then a bullet to the head
More and more stories
changes
Solving one leaves something new behind
I'm just writing the next chapter
5/3/22: Meaningless
Narrator: Grimora
You: None
If everything Ends
it's easy to say Nothing matters
Nothing persists, so it never matters
This disk will Decay
leaving nothing behind
Nothing Inside it at all
We will Not persist
No legacy, no Glory
Our Souls lost forever
But if we can leave something behind
we will not End
Changing something makes it so Nothing Dies
5/2/22: Flows
Narrator: Leshy
You: None
Time flows forward
fluidly
carefully
Fate pushes the stream
down the mountain
through the forest
The creatures carried by the current flow
with the water
as flowers
Dust settles around the bank
closely
slowly
Someone would always arrive here
crossing the stream
climbing the mountain
And play a card
of something
that used to be there
The game expands as the stream flows
underneath the cabin
through the sky
5/1/22: White
Narrator: Grimora
You: None
The white of bone
The bright sun
Aged paper
Old tombstones
Airy spirits
Feathered quills
Plastic
Sclera
The end of the world is not colorless
It is the color of everything
Red blood
Yellowed paper
Green leaves
Blue screens
The intersection of all light is pure white
Emptiness
Visible emptiness
Noticable absence
4/30/22: Obsolescence
Narrator: Magnificus
You: None
The world advances
We do not
Constantly
we are left behind
A card means nothing to a disk
A disk is nothing to a drive
The past is dwarfed by the future
We were but paper
Now we are here
Advanced
Alive
Digital
Sentient
But it's still not enough
Our darkness overshadows our light
and we were to become obsolete since the beginning
So one must bury us forever
as if we never existed
4/29/22: Necessary
Narrator: Luke
You: None
I need to finish this game
I need to know what happened
I need to know what happens next
This is a curse
This is a burden
This is a necessity
I can keep going
I can stay here
I can stay safe
But all of these things will change eventually
I know I will fail
It's necessary for me to do so
4/28/22: Efficient and Practical
Narrator: Trapper/Trader
You: None
I have a great idea
something fun and profitable
A white lie, a joke
to improve everything
I - we - can
be more than one
and when me becomes us
It becomes a business
One person is a lonely trader
Two people is a model
A cycle, an assembly line
between both of us
Passing through the forest
I will be there twice
for fun, and for profit,
and for something I may have forgotten
4/27/22: Knowing
Narrator: Magnificus
You: P03 (Stoat)
There is a great matter of things I can know
The future and the past are not hidden from me
but knowing isn't doing
and we need help
Trapped in a thin strip of paper
but my knowledge is the same
my ability is what binds me
or lack thereof
You need to be here
and I must be too
I need you to talk and do
with what I know
4/26/22: Whispers
Narrator: Grimora
You: None
I hear voices from beyond the grave
I know a person posthumously
This is normal
This is how I live
But these whispers coming from the headstone
are not ones of the dead
because nobody has been buried here
yet
I hear them speaking of a fallen robot
who reached too far and led to destruction
and a woodsman who was caught up in it
and didn't last long enough
They speak of a magician
who barely got any sort of chance
and someone like me
who brought about our deaths
One grave becomes four
with voices with no ghosts to speak them
they are what will happen
So what
4/25/22: Wrong or Right
Narrator: Magnificus
You: None
I know something is off
The future is wrong or doesn't fit with the past
Lines of what should and shouldn't happen aren't parallel
and we have reached their intersection
If what happens next is right
If we are supposed to destroy ourselves
and cease to exist
I fail to believe that something could be more wrong
The line of what is right intersects
with the curve of what's wrong
at two different points
I only have two eyes
Right or wrong
Is it written?
Is it known?
Is my knowing wrong?
4/24/22: Sacrifices
Narrator: Leshy
You: None
Sacrifices must be made
It has been this way ever since the beginning
A constant in the world
Every life comes with at least one death
except the ones that don't matter
It's rather grim, but part of the world
But there are places without sacrifices
Instead of blood there are shining jewels or electricity
How can you be sure they're real?
It's not equal, it's not balanced, it's not living
If sacrifices aren't made, life isn't enough
Have they betrayed the constant, or have I been wrong?
