Merry Pitmas fundraiser for Animal Rescue Network of New England 🎅 Pablo's Paw Prints is donating 100% of the profits from one of our Merry Pitmas designs (pic in post) on Amazon (link in bio) to Animal Rescue Network of New England ARNNE’s mission is to curb the problem of ‘high-kill’ shelters, by saving the lives of the many deserving pets and giving them a second chance at life. Many shelters across the country must kill dogs when the shelter is overcrowded in order to make room for incoming animals. Meanwhile, in another shelters across state borders, there are no dogs available for adoption. An opportunity for a pet to find a “forever” home is lost, because it sits waiting. @leia.the.pibble When mom adopted me from @dcluckydog, everyone thought i was a lab/pit bull mix. @embarkvet later told us that i’m actually 100% american pit bull terrier! (we think the lab part may have been added by the shelter in GA to give me a better chance of getting adopted.) mom did some research and came to realize how pervasive the stigma against bully breeds still is, especially in the form of breed specific legislation. since then, she has been trying to educate those around her about the amazing qualities of bully breeds. mom’s taken such good care of me and in return, i’ve given her endless love, loyalty, and kisses 😘 pitties are like that, when you give us love, we’ll give you love like you’ve never known before. we’ve got big heads and even bigger hearts. we are not evil, we are not demons. we’re just like all other dogs! we can be playful, silly, anxious, reactive, hyper, scared, loving, and caring just like other dogs. and like other dogs, you get what you put in. When treated with kindness, you’ll have a companion for life. we don’t need a heavy hand, we don’t need harsh discipline. it’s time for society to stop treating us like monsters and start treating us for what we are. dogs.
