Fact, dear anonymous. But telling everyone that “nooo, the writing and the quality is just as good.” or “oh, it’s just because Lestat is so chaotic and random lol.” when the whole thing is an incoherent mess is wild. Yeah, in the book Lestat is chaotic and going on random fucking tangents, but you can make perfect sense of it, unlike in the show. There are bits that were beautifully written and conveyed in the show, genuinely making me tear up, and then we're back to the whole incest thing and doing random shit because it’s so funny, I guess.
Don’t get me started on the songs either….In the book, Lestat is so obsessed with his craft of writing the lyrics. It’s pretty poetic, I would say, and in the show we got…those songs.
Sorry for the long rant. (I could keep going tbh…) All in all, feel free to enjoy it but don’t piss on my leg and tell me it’s raining. If it’s entertaining to you, then live it up girl, but you can’t deny that there is nothing substantial we could sink our teeth into.
