Our Lady Speaks
"There is a world behind the world you see, although it lies revealed and open right before you. The world you see is like the reflection on the inside of a bubble that shows you nothing but yourself. It reveals to you what you think, what you value, what you believe to be true.
But just beyond that world is My world—the world that sustains you, the world that birthed you, the world that you return to, and the world that you can never leave. That world is the real world. The image you see reflected in the bubble is the world that you have made.
It takes a single pin to pop that bubble for anyone. It vanishes at death and you are liberated from it for a time. But your people have been born into it again and again, and the time is coming when it shall be popped for the living while they are alive.
At that time, some will say, ‘I cannot breathe in this world. I have no place in it.’ Others will say, ‘This is the end.’ And still others will say, ‘All that we had is lost and gone forever. What shall we do? How shall we live?’
But there will be those who, on the advent of that world, say in the depths of their hearts: ‘This is what I always knew to be true. This world is my Mother. There is no other. At last I have found my home.'"

There is no reality except the one contained within us. That is why so many people live such an unreal life. They take the images outside of them for reality and never allow the world within to assert itself.
Hermann Hesse, Steppenwolf
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.
Herman Hesse
