Noonday Word of Encouragement

“Don’t Be Deceived—God’s Grace Calls Us to Holiness”

Scripture:

“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,”

— 1 Corinthians 6:9 (KJV)

As we pause at midday, let us remember that God’s Word is not given to condemn us, but to correct us, protect us, and lead us into eternal life. The Apostle Paul begins with two powerful words: “Be not deceived.” In every generation, the enemy works to convince people that sin has no consequences and that truth can be redefined. But God’s truth never changes.

The good news is that this passage is not merely a warning—it is an invitation. An invitation to repentance. An invitation to transformation. An invitation to become everything God created us to be through the saving power of Jesus Christ.

None of us are made righteous by our own goodness. We are made righteous by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. When we surrender our lives to Him, He forgives, restores, and empowers us to walk in holiness through the Holy Spirit.

So this afternoon, don’t be discouraged by conviction. Let it draw you closer to Christ. Examine your heart. Turn away from anything that separates you from God, and rejoice that His mercy is available today.

Remember: God’s standards have not changed, but neither has His love. He still saves. He still delivers. He still transforms lives.

Midday Encouragement:

Don’t settle for deception when God has called you to truth. Don’t settle for sin when Christ has made a way for victory. Walk in righteousness, live in obedience, and keep your eyes on Jesus—for the Kingdom of God is worth everything.

🍂 Thankful Thursday – Late Afternoon Encouragement

One of the greatest blessings God has given me in chaplaincy is the opportunity to meet people from every walk of life. Every hospital room tells a different story. Every family carries a different burden. Every conversation becomes another reminder that God loves people—regardless of their background, race, culture, denomination, or circumstances.

As I walk the halls, pray with patients, encourage families, and stand beside healthcare workers, it almost feels like I’m getting paid to enjoy an all-you-can-eat spiritual smorgasbord of God’s blessings. Every encounter is another opportunity to witness God’s grace at work. Some people need a prayer. Others need a listening ear. Still others simply need someone to remind them that they are not alone.

The Apostle Paul reminds us:

“There is neither Jew nor Greek… for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”

—Galatians 3:28 (KJV)

God has a beautiful way of bringing people together whom we may have never met otherwise. What looks like coincidence is often divine appointment. Every door He opens becomes another opportunity to reflect His love.

Life has a way of taking us places we never imagined. Had someone told me years ago that I would be serving people in hospital hallways, praying at bedsides, comforting the hurting, and celebrating victories with complete strangers who quickly become family, I might not have believed it.

But today I know this truth:

You never know where life can take you, but as long as God is driving, you can be at ease.

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.”

Psalm 37:23 (KJV)

So this Thankful Thursday, don’t be afraid of where God is leading you. Trust His direction. Embrace the people He places in your path. The journey may not always be what you planned, but it will always be filled with purpose when Christ is leading.

May the Lord bless you with divine appointments, compassionate hearts, and peaceful confidence in His perfect plan.
