Volume 2 Applications Update!

Hello everyone, long time no see! We're so sorry for the silence on our end these past few weeks. Our team had a few scheduling conflicts here and there. We needed to make sure we went over all 100+ applicants thoroughly!

This process was really tough to go through. Especially since so many of you guys are so talented! That being said, today, we will be sending out emails to everyone that have been accepted into the zine! Please check your emails periodically today and make sure our email isn't in your spam folder! Thank you so much for your patience, and we can't wait to meet our new crew!!

Hello hello! What's the min./max. word counts you're looking for from writing samples on the application? I assume somewhere in the 100-1000 words count to match the zine specs, but figured I should double check!

Hello! Sorry for taking a while to get to this ask, but there is no word limit for submitted samples. When it comes down to the zine works we have limits, but for the applications there isn't one.

You can send something with only three sentences or something as long as a novel. As long as you're displaying your strongest works we want that submitted!

Volume 1 has come to a close...

Hello everyone! As of today, we have gathered all our funds from the Digital PDF and Physical Book of our fanzine and we're pleased to announce that we have made....$2,098.20 total of final sales!! Our team cannot thank you all enough for the support you've given us these past couple of months. Thank you for sharing our zine around and telling your friends and family! Thank you for supporting our digital and physical release! We've seen your comments and reviews and it means so much to us!

Major thank you to our talented crew full of artists and writers! We're deeply proud of our team and we couldn't have asked for a better crew for Volume 1. This zine wouldn't have been a success without you!!

We've donated our funds to the PBS Foundation (receipts below), and now, Volume 1 of Our Turn to Thank you: A PBS Kids fanzine has come to a close. Of COURSE I had to draw something Fetch related, and I’m very happy with how it turned out. Had a total blast participating in my first zine, the whole project turned out wonderfully and I highly recommend checking out all the other artists and their hard work!

The Grey-t Escape

Hearing about Dr. Irene Pepperberg's work with Alex the African Grey parrot and learning how smart they are, Zach kidnaps wild Congo Grey parrots to use their intelligence to power his new ZI Bots (Zach Intelligence Bots) and create his smartest Zachbots ever. With the help of Grey parrot powers, the Kratt bros free these birds and help them escape back to where they belong, living free and in the wild.
