Since when is being vulnerable and sharing your heart looked at as a weakness and asking for pity? To me is a sign of courage and positivity in the face of hardship. We all have struggles and the more we can own them honor them and conquer them together the less amount of teen suicide and self harm we will have. We need to express and be the example of honoring all our feelings and emotions and demonstrating a way to respectfully and honestly use those feelings as fuel to better yourself.
