Time To Announce the Winner of the Tales of a Junk Town Pony Peddler; Rainfall Design Contest!
We got many lovely entries, and we loved each one, and now it’s time to announce the winners! Everyone came up with really lovely ideas for the design, and oddly everyone made him blue, which was always the writer’s personal idea for him, but never mentioned anywhere, which is funny, but great! Anyway, let’s take a look.
An interesting interpretation of the character, love the pony tail and the boots and the little notes are lovely! Not to mention the thought of Rainfall crying is hilarious
Okay, to start off, this armor design is bad ass. I mean Geeze, I would not want to run into this thing in a dark alley, not to mention the cutie mark concept is pretty awesome to boot. This was a hard choice, between this and the first placer, it was so close. This is an awesome design.
Okay, Jello Cat went all out for this contest, she submitted a whole page of designs, along with alternate outfits and cutiemarks and the whole page oozes style. Seriously if Jell-o-cat is reading this, she has an invitation to join Ponyinabox any day of the week. Though we can only pick one of these designs it was really hard since she captured Rainfall pretty darn well in all of them. Still we can’t help but go with Design three, because it just awesome. Not to mention the extra concept page really sold it.
So congratulations to Jell-o-Cat! Her design is now the canon look for Rainfall, he will have the first cutiemark and armor designs and will appear in all future posters and PIAB art for the character. Everyone did such awesomely lovely jobs on their entries, and I’d just like to take the time to thank each and every one of them, while only one could win if I could pick them all I would.
