one of my lecturers printed us a step-by-step guide to writing an essay for an assignment we had. i decided to type it up and share it with you guys. i think for the most part it is really useful and a super simple way to break down your essay. hope this helps :~)

in your 20âs find a balance between hustle & rest. you donât need to have a love life or a soulmate figured out. go travel the world. battle your demons. set up a business, find people who value your heart & yours will attract. donât live in the past, you have so much more to see
How I scored 97% on my neurology exam using some Law of Attraction tips
The exam was in 3 weeks when I once came back home from my neuroanatomy class, crying because I barely knew anything and started comparing myself to others and putting myself in this all-negative-bubble I couldnât get away from.
However, panicking and crying wouldnât help me get anything done. Thatâs how the Law of Attraction came to my mind and that I really started using it.
So, how does it work?Â
First of all, you have to know what you really want. What will this good grade bring you? Will it get you closer to your ultimate goal? For me, I wanted to get the best score ever because I knew that neurology is a medical specialty I want to be into and getting a good score would demonstrate that this specialty is made for me :)Â
Thinking about your ultimate goal -like being successful, being accepted in your dream school, or just be happy- will help you have a more positive mindset and therefore raise your vibrations towards the Universe.
Another thing you have to know is that Law of Attraction doesnât work if youâve never studied and your exam is in two days, you canât get anything by doing nothing. You canât expect a miracle if you did nothing in order to get closer to your goal.Â
What did I do then?
Since stressing and getting anxious wouldnât help me, I needed to be more calm and relaxed, and above all, I had to be positive. I knew how important this exam was and being afraid was the worst thing to do if I wanted to succeed.
Therefore, I took a piece of paper, and wrote down this phrase : « I scored a 100% on my Neurology exam », with the score written in a bold and big font. I also wrote, « Iâm going to do my best every time I study, Iâm going to be positive by never doubting about my capacities and always be confident ». Then I put this paper on my desk, in order to see it every time I studied.
I also started visualizing my goal. I visualized myself doing my exam, knowing all the answers, getting a good score. I visualized the possible questions asked by the professors, I visualized myself answering them.
I studied almost every day. I watched neuroanatomy videos when I was at the gym and re-write, again and again, all the neurological pathways I had to know.
I was still anxious, but every time I felt overwhelmed I would look at that piece of paper and I would say Thank You to the Universe.
I would also meditate, before bed or even in the middle of a study session. Meditation helped me for visualization but also kept me from falling into a negative mindset.
The big day arrived and I was confident. I tried my best to keep my fear away, by not letting others distract me with theirs. I knew I was well prepared, so what should I be worried about?
My turn came and, still confident, I answered all the questions like I visualized them. I got sometimes destabilized, but I bounced back every time. The professor was asking me all kinds of questions in order to fly from a subject to another. Letâs just say that I answered them all without any kind of problem until he told me that the exam was over. I have talked non-stop for 25 minutes.
When I went out of the room, I knew that the exam went well for me. But I still burst to tears because the tension accumulated was so high ! 2 weeks later, we received the results. And I couldnât believe my eyes : I scored 97% nearly just as much as I wrote down on that piece of paper. Â
Now letâs summarize : how can YOU use Law of Attraction for your exams?Â
Find your WHY : I think this is by far the most important thing. Why do you want to succeed in that exam? Where do you want to be in 5 years?Â
Be confident : if youâre doing your best you are allowed to except the best.Â
Visualize : dream boards and meditation are your bests friendsÂ
Study (well, of course) : as I said before you canât expect anything from the Universe if you donât manifest it.Â
Donât let fear and negativity distract you : you wonât get anything done by doing only negative self-talk. You are capable. Never forget that.Â
Last thing : everything you want already exists. You just have to manifest it by changing your mind and, as a consequence, your habits ; because as you might already know :Â your thoughts become things.Â

Hope this was helpful :)Â
Destroy the idea that you have to be constantly working or grinding in order to be successful. Embrace the concept that rest, recovery, and reflection are essential parts of the progress towards a successful and ultimately happy life.
Habits of successful students
Discipline: âdiscipline is doing what needs to be done, even when you donât want toâ, which means that you have to force yourself to start doing things.Â
Concentration: when you make a real effort in your work (study, homeworks etcâŠ) you will be more likely to actually focus, understand and learn.Â
Organization: always set tasks and goals and organize a study-schedule. Maybe you donât really want to plan all the week, but if you just wake up and open your agenda/bullet journal/iphone calendar and write down all the things you have to do, setting due dates and deadlines, youâll feel more conscious and encouraged to stay on track.Â
Tasks-splitting: sometimes, you write down your tasks. Some of these tasks may be very hard and complicated, and it will take a long long time to complete them. So, you can split them in smaller tasks, so you will feel satisfied after a shorter period of time, instead of studying for hours and still seeing that chapter undone on your study-schedule.Â
Watch the sunrise: when I wake up late, I feel like I donât have enought time to do my work and lose my motivation. I literally panic and then I think âwhatever, I could not complete all the things anywayâ. So, if you wake up earlier you will feel more positive and  controlled.Â
Smart reading: try not to read your textbook just like a newspaper. For every paragraph you read, try to underline and write down key words and then your question about that subject. Literally, turn your textbook into questions. If you write down question - particularly whyâŠ? - and think about the answer, you will be more likely to remember that stuff later.Â
Healthy lifestile: if you donât drink enough water in the morning, you will be more likely to have a decrease of concentration in the afternoon/evening, so: stay hydrated. Try also to have some snaks every one-two hours: feed your brain.Â
Advice for people in their 20s from someone whoâs just entered their 30s....
1. Donât waste time being fearful: go for that job that youâre certain youâre not gonna get. Whatâs the worse that can happen? You are rejected, but you gain interview experience. Self-doubt is really a waste of time.
2. Live in the present. Yes, it is important to plan for the future, but it is easy to put off living until it is too late. Make sure that you have no regrets about what you should have done. Do one exciting thing per year.
3. Know your worth. This applies to both work and relationships; never sell yourself short. No job or romance is more important than your self respect. Also, charge for any unique skills/services that you can offer.Â
4. Donât be afraid to leave bad situations. I left a stable but draining teaching job in order to protect my mental health. Even though this was a big risk, it was the best decision I ever made. NOTHING is more important than your mental health.Â
5. Most 20 somethings feel that they are underachieving. This is normal - especially in todayâs financial climate. Donât feel bad if you are still living at home and cannot afford to rent/buy. Iâm 30 and still living at home, saving to buy.
6. People will disappoint you, but most of the time, itâs not about you. Everybody has their own demons and traumas that make them behave in certain ways. If somebody disrespects you, assert your boundaries and keep it moving. Also, examine if there was anything you could have done to avoid the situation. But DO NOT let it eat away at you.
7. In love, nobody owes you anything. Even if they made a promise, they are their own personâŠEverybody has the right to change their mind and to leave a situation which is not beneficial for them. This is hurtful and hard to accept, but it is the truth.
8. Learn to enjoy your own company. Your 20s can be a lonely time as your social sphere narrows, due to employment, finances and exhaustion. Use this time to find out more about yourself and do the things that you enjoy. There is something liberating about eating at a restaurant alone.Â
9. Be kind, donât gossip or overshare. I am still working on this one. It is really difficult to be kind and positive in a world full of annoying people. However, your attitude will influence how you are being perceived. If you are unkind, people will laugh at your jokes but they will never trust you. They will never trust you not to treat them as you treat other people. Remove yourself from toxic people, and only share negativity (sadness/anger/depression) with a therapist and one other person that you trust. If you overshare negative feelings, you may be stereotyped as being full of drama. Furthermore, people will want you to stay in a negative place because itâs entertaining and makes them feel better about their own lives. Just donât do it.
10. You cannot win every battle. Within conflict, it is tempting to try to force others to agree with your perspective. However, most people are set in their ways, and find it difficult to change their views and behaviours. This is especially important when dealing with toxic family members. You may never get the apology and empathy that you seek, so it is important to accept that every battle cannot be won, and gain validation internally, rather than externally.
I hope something unexpectedly good happens to you this week.
